Note: Due to PCB size limitations, this low-voltage protection module uses a miniature relay and thin wire design. Therefore, in actual use, the current should not exceed 8A to avoid damaging the relay contacts. Battery adapter inadequate for powerwheels
I have used the same low voltage shutoff before with no issue but I have a major issue with the battery adapter portion of this kit. Once installed, everything turned on but when you push the accelerator pedal on the powerwheel with the shifter set on forward high speed, the motors jolt and the power gets cut off which makes this completely useless. On low speed or reverse it works ok. The battery adapter has a circuit board in it that kills power with the high power surge. Very disappointed with the product. Also the wire connection between the battery adapter and low voltage cutoff was done very poorly. They literally twisted the wires together and then just put heatshrink over it. I bought 2 of these kits and the had the same issue on 2 different power wheels. That battery adapter may be useful on other applications but now for powerwheels.

The Perfect Adapter, Just Follow the Hidden Instructions
This Milwaukee 18V battery adapter is exactly what I was looking for to power my DIY projects. The build quality is excellent, and the inclusion of low-voltage protection, an on/off switch, and USB-C/USB-A ports makes it incredibly versatile. It snaps onto my batteries securely and the 12AWG wire is very robust.While it didn’t come with a manual, the programming is quite intuitive if you know the procedure. Here’s how to set the voltage cutoff and hysteresis (the value it must exceed to restart after shutting off):To set the protection value (e.g., 15.5V): Press the “↑” button once. Long-press it again until the decimal point flashes. Use the “↑” or “↓” buttons to change the value. The module saves automatically after 3 seconds of no activity.To set the hysteresis value (e.g., 0.5V): Press the “↓” button once. Long-press it again until the decimal point flashes. Use the “↑” or “↓” buttons to change the value. The module saves automatically after 3 seconds of no activity.To restore factory settings: Disconnect power, then press and hold both buttons while reconnecting the power. The screen will show “888” to confirm.I recommend setting it for 15 or 15.5 volts as the low voltage cutoff so you don’t take your batteries down too far on discharge. You can play with the hysteresis (some have it around 2 volts) of when it comes back on depending on the application. Note there seems to be about a half volt difference between the actual voltage displayed (and the source voltage). Though that should not be a major issue to deal with, just be aware of what the true voltage really is. See picture and video for details.Once you know how to program it, this adapter is a powerhouse. It’s a professional-grade tool that offers full control and protection for your valuable batteries. Highly recommended.

Fantastic voltage regulator and battery adapter.It helps turn a milwaukee battery into a 12v power source for emergencies, as well as to power up ride on power wheels toys.It’s easy to use and easy to understand. Very easy to install. Provides the same power as a 12v battery if it’s set to that. Can be used to power up a 12v winch as well if you are in a pinch. I carry at least 6 Milwaukee batteries on my work truck at all times. Combined with this adapter, I can tackle any sticky situation.Good product. The quality is decent. Emergency phone charger as well with the built in usb.Loads of functionality. Fits good. Good value!I recommend!
