Topdon Phoenix Nano Scanner excellent value
Great all around scanner with enhanced data. Wired obd2 connector where you won’t forget it! It has enhanced features of an OEM tool and some ADAS functions. It’s a very good value especially when compared to the “big” aftermarket scanner companies. It loads fast and graphics are clean. Operating system is quick and responsive. The free 2 year updates are nice too. Get this tool for about what 1 year of other tool updates cost,

Very powerful scan tool!
I consider myself a heavy DIY mechanic and this scan tool is perfect for everything that I work on. Most recently I used this on a 2020 Subaru Outback and I was quite impressed with its performance. With over 32 service resets and live graphing I was able to look into a lot of systems. I played around with bi-directional controls and was impressed with all the options available. Very good scan tool for the money!

Very well built / Great Value for the Price
Automotive technicians have an almost universal weakness – we love tools and like to collect them. It’s an addiction like many others. I love scan tools! One friend of mine when asked, “What is the best scan tool to have?” responded wisely, “All of them!” – The reason is that every scanner gives you some ability or capability that others don’t. We own several other Topdon tools, but this is our first Topdon scanner. One of the first things you will notice about Topdon tools is how well built they are. Unlike some other tools on the market, everything we have touched from Topdon has the look and feel of quality. Everything from the packaging, to the case, to the connectors, to the tablet itself is very nicely executed. The table is well protected / ruggedized to withstand the rigors of the shop environment. TopDon makes an nice range of diagnostic tools including consumer, mid-level, and professional tools. The Nano falls into the entry end of the professional tool range and offers great “bang-for-the-buck”. I can also say that we have found TopDon’s support to be second to none. Knowing that TopDon has our back if we every have a problem is a big reason we chose to add the Nano to our arsenal of scanners.

It resolves the ABS light and engine fault light issues in a Ford Fiesta
I own a Ford Fiesta, and while driving, both the engine trouble light and ABS light suddenly illuminated. After stopping the vehicle, turning off the engine, and restarting it, the lights remained on.With this Phoenix Nano, I retrieved the following fault codes:U3003:16-48 – ABS Battery VoltageU0121:00-08 – Missing communication between BCMii and ABS control moduleU0415:68-08 – Invalid data from the ABS control module to BCMiiU0121:00-28 – IPC communication issue with ABS control moduleU0401:68-28 – Invalid data from ECM/PCMU0121:00-A8 – PCM communication issue with ABS control moduleU0401:00-48 – Invalid data from ABS control module to PSCMU0121:00-48 – Communication issue between PSCM and ABS control moduleU0401:68-2C – Invalid data from ECM/PCMI recorded all the fault codes, then cleared them. The engine fault light turned off, but the ABS light remained on, indicating a fault in the ABS system. Analyzing the codes, I noted they all started with U, indicating network fault codes related to the ABS (with connections to BCM, IPC, PCM, and PSCM via a high-speed network). I tested the network with IDS, and all modules appeared normal. The resistance value at the high-speed network pin was 60Ω, and the network voltage was also normal, suggesting no issues with the network bus. I suspected a problem with the ABS module itself. When measuring the data flow from the ABS module, I found its power supply voltage was only 8.4V, which is clearly abnormal; it should match the battery voltage when the ignition is on. I checked the wiring diagram, and all fuses were functioning properly. After disconnecting the ABS module plug, I inspected the pins and found normal power, as well as intact network lines, indicating that the wiring to the ABS module was fine. I concluded that the ABS module had an internal failure. After replacing the module, the power supply voltage returned to normal. I cleared the faults and verified that the issues were resolved.I’ m very glad this diagnostic scanner helped to solve the engine fault light problem, very useful with indication.

Gets the Hidden Codes
Recommended by a Youtuber, I purchased this considering my normal OBDII readers would clear a Power Steering Code, or a Suspension code in my Chevys. The interface is pretty intuitive and was easy to navigate my way through to solve my issues without needing read mountains of manuals.

Better options for a fairer price.
I’ve used this product twice now and I have to say it is not my favorite to use. For my 04 Camry I have to go through so many hoops just to get to a basic scan. When I used this on a 2004 Mercedes Ml350 it wasn’t as bad but still a pain to navigate through. The interface isn’t as nice as other brands at least on the Nano. I can’t recommend the nano at all at this price range and you’re better off getting something else for a little bit more or cheaper.
