Don’t know much about these, but seems to work beautifully.
I don’t know a lot about these things — not enough to really write a full detailed review — but it seems to work great. I was able to pull codes on multiple vehicles with the device itself telling me what the codes meant on its screen rather than me having to look them up. You just don’t get much more convenient than that. It’s very easy to use and pretty much the only way you can go wrong in using it is if you do something wrong like plugging it in while the vehicle is running (which is a fault of the process rather than this device.) As they say, it is a bit slow about actually connecting and displaying information, but all in all I have no real complaints and can’t imagine any of the alternatives being better. As the manufacturer says, you probably need a $3000 device if you want it to be faster. No thank you!It is worth noting that their management software just doesn’t work. It gives an error every single time when trying to log in. I guess it can’t connect to their server or something. This may be a problem if I ever need to actually update its firmware, but I think maybe it’s possible to download updates anyway. I don’t know if it’s realistic to expect updates for this product in, say, ten years down the road anyway though and the mechanisms and processes of reading OBDII codes won’t be changing much in that time period (if anything maybe we’ll get an OBDIII that may not even be possible with devices like this by then. Who knows?) The firmware seems to consist of actual files that show up as a UMS drive when you plug it in, so updating is probably as simple as unzipping an archive right over it. I only wish it didn’t use mini-USB as it’s getting harder and harder even to find working mini-USB cables, but as far as nitpicks go, that’s pretty minor — especially since it even came with one anyway. For the price of this thing, if it stops working on newer vehicles in ten years I won’t be losing any sleep over it.

Works fairly well, but font on screen fairly small
I recently bought a Topdon AL400 and it took only a short time to figure out how to get around it and use it. Minor gripes – Biggest one is the font is small hard to see well if your vision isn’t great. Second, the screen only comes on when it has a separate power source, so it has to be plugged in to your car or computer to see. Finally, when I plugged it into the computer, it did not show the fault codes given to me in the car. It listed a bunch of numbers, percentages, etc. that my car had, but that is it. I am a novice, the numbers don’t mean a lot as I don’t completely know what they all stand for. It would have been better if it showed the fault codes, but I could not find them on what it showed on my computer. In general, it does work and is not too difficult to get around, it just has a few minor flaws where it could have been easier to use. In all a good product, just could be better.

Is very good co.but this is basic obd 2 scanner
This is very basic scanner. I don’t know how the free up data works because I just got in need some time to use it, before Ican give you more information. I know that topdon make more obd2 some are very good.

  7. Tyler Huelsmann

    Best scanner so far
I have a few scanners, one being $600, and for the ability of just clearly codes and checking some quick freeze frame data this is awesome without the load time of my expensive scanner. The light in the obd2 plug is a game changer. I bought this scanner to specifically keep in my 2003 Tahoe because it will randomly goin into reduced power mode, this scanner can clear on the go while the engine is still running which none of my other scanners can do which is worth the money in itself.

  8. Kingpin

    Quality product
Nice scanner to through in the glove box.

  11. lecteur assidu

Simple d’emploi.

    Funktioniert sehr gut
