Outstanding set of tools!!!
To start off this is probably the 3rd review i have ever written. I only write reviews when i fell compelled to do so. Ihave been using tools feels like my entire life and just recently found out about Toolant. A little back history I have been in the mechanical field on aircraft for 15 years now and have worked on automobiles since i was young. I have used sets of Tap and Dies from high end names for years and I am pleased to have stumbled upon this company. The customer service is outstanding. When i had received this set and began using the ratchet it was malfunctioning. As in when going into the metal it was find while ratcheting, but when going in reverse it would kick back over to the forward side. While this was a headache I did reach out to the company any and promptly they sent out a replacement which worked as advertised. I do understand that some tools do malfunction. This has not been my first or even second ratchet that has came like this and the others were big brand as well. So for customer service they get a 10 out of 10.As for the set this set is fantastic. I love the way everything is laid out and nicely labeled. I have noticed that the clearances are tighter with this set than others i have used which is awesome especially because i am going into aluminum a lot. I have used the dies a few times to fix some threads that were marked up but mainly use the tap side of the house. As in the video i did mention the case felt cheap but it is still sturdy. Although i would recommend to the company that the top part where the ratchet sits, the lid is a little flimsy and when opening i have had the lid pop out a few times which is somewhat of a hassle to put back in. Other than the minor flaws which isn’t much and to have a good company back their product the way they did is an awesome experience. when looking for tools in the future i will be keeping my eye out for this company for sure.

This set is amazing. The only complaint I would have is that it doesn’t go higher than 1/2″ but It has absolutely everything you need to get the job done for anything 1/2″ down. Oh and metric as well. each tap is paired with the proper drill bit and the threads have all been spot on.

Nice set of tap and dies with drill bits!
This set almost replaces most of the loose taps and dies I have. I like the ratcheting drive handle and the storage case. So far these seem to be pretty good quality, but time will tell… I’m hoping this will be the last set I need to purchase. I’ll come back with an update after I use them a few more times.

Initial opinion
So right off rip, I noticed there was some small damages to the carrying case. A couple broken plastic walls and some adhesive that didn’t adhere properly. So can’t give it 5 stars. However, with that being said the set is immaculate otherwise. I inspected every tap, die, and drill bit and did not find any damages or imperfections as far as I could tell. I really appreciate the fact they have a chuck rod in the set. That was something I completely missed when looking over this item before purchasing. The thread pitch gauges are pretty lack luster, hard to open and fairly small. Not going to negate any points for that though as I already have several thread gauges that are of much better quality and would use those in place regardless. This is just an initial review as I have not used the product yet. Once used, tested thoroughly, and an inevitable customer service encounter is established I will update this review with its final assessment. I am a full time CNC rebuild mechanic, so I can promise this set will be put to the test. I typically would not purchase a tap set, especially one with 4 flutes and taps that are not HSS but at this price point I couldn’t resist. Every mechanic on here will understand the cost and hardships that come with buying and replacing taps. Stuff gets expensive! If I can get a two year warranty on this set and customer service actually stands by the replacement policy, Even if they dont cut like butter. That on its own would be worth it’s weight in gold!

Very easy to use. I love that the taps I’ll have their own matching drill bit. The quality is great especially for the price. I have used these for about 2 or 3 months now, and I do use them at least once everyday at work. It is a great, complete set from small to medium taps. Very easy to use, very good grip.I had one quality issue where the tap holder was defective, and after one email describing the situation, they sent me a brand new one. Later on down the road they even replaced a tap that didn’t seem to work too well.

I wanted to post this preliminary review of the 127 piece Toolant tap and die set I recently purchased and that has just arrived. I am very impressed with the set. To be clear I have not yet used it and I will update this review after I have had a chance to cut threads. I have, however, examined every tap and every die in the set and I am very impressed with the overall condition and presentation of the tool. The threads on every tap and die are clean, precise and properly machined. The pitch and depth of the taps and dies threads all measure true. The taps and dies are also are very sharp. The exterior finish of the taps and dies is impressive. The case is functional and very well laid out. The parts are held securely within the case and the handle and lid latches work well. Now this is all as you would expect and should not be cause for a glowing review, however, I have been burned many times after buying tools that purport to be of good quality only to find they are garage. This set was purchased to replace a tap and die set from Vevor that I just returned to Amazon. That set was terrible. Every tap and die was defective and chewed up. So when I see a tool that arrives looking as good as the ads say it is and the pictures show it to be, I am pleasantly surprised. Of course the really test will be how well it cuts threads but I wanted to give credit where it is due. So far I give this set full marks.

The M12-1.75 tap that I needed to make threads for bolts doesn’t even cut, so I went and bought another one and it did the job well..! The kit is very nice but no quality and the metal that i’m doing hole is only regular metal…!
