It moves on its own power!
We have several trucks toys around the house, but this one comes with a drill, wrench, hammer and screwdriver and is currently roaming our living room on its own (battery) power.The volume is a bit high but the music is not obnoxious. All of the screws and tools fit on the vehicle. The drill does work; unfortunately it only fits 2 of the screws. The rest of the screws require the wrench- a steeper but valuable learning curve.This is the first toy my son wanted to get out of its box and play with. He just turned 4 but loves the building component and talks to the truck driver character to coordinate load deliveries. With a younger child who still may place things in their mouth, you could remove the screws and other small components and maybe leave them the drill “to drill holes” until they’re ready for the full set.This is a great for active, imaginary play and the music is optional.

Beat my expectations!
Ok so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this toy, sometimes you order things and aren’t sure what kind of quality you’ll get but I was pleasantly surprised! This toy is really well made, the plastic feels super sturdy and quality, the movement of the excavator doesn’t feel cheap (parents you know what I’m talking about) and I was also surprised how quickly my toddler took to this!He’s still getting the hang of the screw driver and it may take a bit (he’s only 22months) but the hammer he got immediately how to hammer the nails in and get them out! He loves driving it around, using the bucket and pupping off the wheel part and popping it back on. My 7 and 9yr old likes to sit with him and use the tools too.I can for-see this being one of the favorites of his for a while! So glad i got this!

Cute toy, some parts don’t work
This is a cute toy, I was very hopeful when I unpacked it. It is sturdy for a toddler and has some interesting activities that a toddler would like. It does take 5 AAA batteries – 3 batteries in the main truck and 2 batteries in the “drill” to screw in various pieces.It came with no instructions at all except a picture on the box which shows where the batteries go. There is no instructions so trial and error – pushing and pulling various things to get it to work. The lights work as does the various selected music selections. The music is loud and sounds clear.The reason for only 3 stars is without instructions, it is hard to tell if it is user error or malfunction. This does not move at all. The speed is – none, no movement. Underneath, there is a wheel that appears to be running and functioning but it does not move the car. I have provided a video which shows a spinning wheel, but no matter what surface I put it on – it doesn’t work. Is it possible that there is a setting or something to turn to get it to move? Without instructions, I can’t get it to work.

Toddler Approved!
Super cute little excavator toy! It was exactly what I was expecting. My 1-year-old immediately grabbed it and hasn’t stopped “fixing” it since. The drill actually works (but is gentle), and all the pieces are big enough that I don’t have to worry about tiny parts disappearing into the void. 😂It’s sturdy, colorful, and perfect for little hands that love to take things apart and put them back together. If your kiddo is into vehicles or tools at all, this is a total win. Great buy!

Fantastic Development Toy
Excellent and fun toy for my toddlers. Perfect for problem solving and motor skills. Bright and vibrant colors, great design, very durable! Batteries have lasted. Excellent birthday or Christmas gift! They have a ton of fun playing with this. Highly recommend.

Fun excavator and tool toy!!
Fun toy for young children! I got this for my one year old. I like that there is so many different aspects to this toy – so many ways to work on coordination also. The excavator moves around pretty quickly and it moves really smoothly and well. It plays music which, as many kids toys are, can be a bit loud but nothing too bad. The different bits for the drill are nice along with the screwdriver. The nails can actually be hammered down which is a bit of an improvement over many of these types of toys where the nail doesn’t actually really work as if it is a nail. Many different screws to use the drill or screwdriver. Overall a good value with lots to do and learn!

If you have a little one who loves all things construction, this excavator set is a hit from the first “vroom!” My nephew went absolutely wild for it. The electric drill and little screwdriver make him feel like a real mechanic, and the fact that it actually comes apart and goes back together keeps him busy (and quiet!) for a solid stretch of time.The lights and sounds are adorable without being too loud or obnoxious, which is a big win for adults in the room. Fun and learning
My little one absolutely LOVES this toy! The electric drill and tools make it so fun for them to take apart and put back together, and it actually keeps them busy for a long time. It’s sturdy, colorful, and makes the cutest sounds without being too loud. Perfect mix of fun and learning.
