Lots of function and features!
Worth the money!!! Great bi directional scanner. This scanner has so many features and abilities for the home mechanic. The interface is easy to navigate and so helpful with internet access to assist in diagnosis. The bi directional abilities allow you to perform many functions that you would typically have to see the dealership for. My only negative is that I had to buy a case to keep it in as it did not come with the scanner as others included. I Aldo picked up and extension cable to allow the scanner to be ran to the engine compartment while using. The factory cable was v very short at about 3′

I wished I had done my research before buying launch. This scanner is amazing and free updates. It’s so easy to use and so many functions. It even had a code search that goes onto the net to show you the issue and rhe fix. I am thinking of purchasing the one above this that codes ecu

Fast, easy to connect to wifi, connect to car
Nicely designed diagnostic tool. Powers on quickly and boots up faster than other diagnostic scanners I have tried. Much quicker than the Topdon I tried and sent back.Scanner was quickly able to read my vin. Something other scanners sometimes struggle to do. Though I have just begun to explore the scanner , so far I’ve found the interface reasonably intuitive and straightforward.I absolutely agree with other reviewers that at this pricepoint they should include a case. I purchased a 9″-11″ tablet case for $8 ( TiMOVO 9-11″ Tablet Sleeve) Its a perfect fit and is just the right Size to hold the scanner, data cable and manual in an easy to carry case. Wish it had a handle but it offers excellent protection and was very inexpensive. So far I’m impressed with the speed and usability

Nice budget Scan Tool if only it worked.
The Scan Tool is nice but, it constantly wanted to Re-Boot when pressing selections. This Tool is meant for the DIYer that wants something more then a DTC Reader and just Clear Codes. Unfortunatey it seemed to have a software glitch even after updating it. Returned the Unit and recieved credit. Looking for higher quality unit without subcribtions.

Very impressed with this OBD2 scanner , works very well and has features comparable to professional models that go for thousands of dollars.The touch screen is large, easy to use, it’s made of durable hard touch and soft touch plastics, the cable to plug into the OBD2 Port is quite long making it easy to use.The only downside I’ve seen is there is an annoying pop up that prompts you to seek help if you don’t know what the codes mean. I don’t plan to use this as a web browser as it’s a lot slower than my phone. So this pop up is more annoying than anything else.Overall though it’s a great code scanner, works on premium vehicles like BMW and Audi. Including maintenance resets. So I have no problem recommending this to anyone.

I was having issues with my truck, so I plugged this guy in and sure enough, it gave a bunch of transmission solenoid and torque converter codes, verifying there was something going on in there. It was an easy fix and if it wasn’t for this, I would have probably spent hundreds, if not thousands at the shop.Setting this scanner up was pretty easy and straight forward too. Plugging it into the OBDII would just charge the internal battery, so you got to press the power button to get it going. Once on, I did some simple setups with email and WIFI, updated its programs and applications and customized some of the icon layouts. This took maybe a grand total of 15 minutes. The whole thing is pretty fast aside from the initial start up and it is very user friendly. The touch screen works like a tablet and you have the option to use the buttons on the side too.I love that there are a lot of features with this, such as real time data graphing, recording, and descriptions/fixes for codes that pop up. Though they are not the most reliable, I did find that it helped me out with diagnosing and improving the performance for my vehicles.Anyways, this thing worked out great for what I needed it for… Will look forward to using its other features soon and will update this if I come across any issues. Ecco uno di quegli strumenti che danno subito l’impressione di essere solidi e affidabili: lo colleghi, accendi e in pochi secondi sei operativo. Qualità costruttiva molto buona.La navigazione è intuitiva e il display ben leggibile, cosa non scontata in prodotti di questa fascia. Le funzioni bidirezionali come il test degli attuatori o il reset di sistemi come ABS, airbag o DPF sono quelle che fanno la differenza rispetto ai classici lettori economici, che si limitano a dire “errore X” senza offrire reali strumenti di diagnosi.Nel confronto con altri modelli, emerge chiaramente il posizionamento di questo Thinkcar: più completo e preciso di dispositivi base, ma meno costoso e ingombrante di uno strumento da officina. Manca però qualche funzione avanzata che si trova nei modelli superiori, come la codifica di nuovi moduli o la gestione più profonda dei parametri del motore, ma per la manutenzione “smart” dell’auto è più che sufficiente.

I recently had issues with our 2016 Jeep a temperature issue and a fuel consumption issue (worse than normal) The temperature issue was very easy to diagnose as there was a fault code (shown in the attached pictures) and there was easy lookup options for possible causes of the code.Before getting the actual code it was easy to get the device connected to my wifi, make the necessary software updates and when it came time to read the codes on my Jeep I used the VIN search feature which quickly found all the information about the Jeep. This part actually went faster than my other 2 scanners I have.To get the fuel trim information was a bit more involved but not much different than other scanners I have used. I was able to use some of the bidirectional controls such as fuel pump and fan on both the Jeep and a Chev pickup.This scanner could benefit from some kind of a search function as you have to navigate through many menus and sub menus. Again this isn’t much different than other scanners on the market.In summary this is my first Thinkscan, I find it similar to my Ancel FX6100 (this particular Ancel model has less rest functions) The Thinkscan is priced appropriately for the functions and was relatively easy to use.
