Awesome product, will need a hood
Works great for small projects. The joke of the purchase is this ridiculous face mask. No way you can do the welding job like you need to while HOLDING this joke of a shield in your hand. I’d rather have not gotten a shield at all and had to buy a real man one like I ended up having to do. You need your hands for welding. I’d rather have had a set of gloves sent. The mask is 100% useless. Light comes in around sides allowing for the flash. Other than the “shield” it’s a decent buy.

It’s a lot different having a handheld welder having the right equipment like a welding helmet I wish would have came with this I don’t understand how you’re supposed to weld and hold something in your other hand to hold over your face while you’re willing don’t make no sense to me I don’t understand why they can’t throw in this $33 helmet that I got that is amazing and I can actually see the will other than that the machine is great I’ve never had that too much humidity because I have a shop and I’m trying to get the air conditioning fixed in and it never stays out in a lot of heat sometimes I do get it out and use it when there’s a lot of humidity which you’re not supposed to but only an

Sanding the rod
I got this for work. The only thing we weld is bed frames. At first it wasn’t working. I was having a hard time with the ground, even when i turned it up. The way I got it to work was sanding the rod (the part that goes into the welder). Once I did that it worked amazingly! A cheap fix to an expensive problem! I am buying one for the shop now!

Works as advertised so far.
I just got this device today. I used it on one project and it worked flawlessly. I was a bit surprised that it worked as smoothly as it did. It will not receive 1/8 sticks, but it comes with a box of 3/32 sticks. It also will work with 1/16 sticks.

Disappointed
Very disappointed.Fors not work at all .zjust sent an email to the company.Bought it in January,had up coming projects to work on .Went over the manual several times and have die everything completely.Fan works ,lights on ,ground correctly,stick inserted correctly,set the power ,push the trigger nothing

Good value small stick welder for those small weekend jobs
Great little stick welder kit- many uses for small jobs. THis is easy to deploy- works on 110-120 volt systems. Throws a decently hot spark- I welded light metal on an a riding mower exhaust system , tacked a broken weld on an iron lawn chair and mounted a fractured anti scalping roller bracket to 10 gauge frame on a tractors belly mower. Comes complete with ample supply of welding rods and a cheap hand held but effective mask/shield. not a full head cover or antidarkening mask but what do you want for a little over a 100 dollars US. IF you need a high duty cycle welder then you probably should buy something more robust but for those weekend jobs you can do a fairly decent job and place a decent bead with a littel practice. The included storage case was a nice touch too

Hubby is very happy
