Saves time and material
It’s a pretty good accessory that let’s you draw and check the tool paths before running the job.I use VCARVE and when the work calls for the Tiling function it helps me confirm that the tool paths are setup correctly.I haven’t used it for drawing (sketching) an image although that’s probably what it’s designed for.

Works as it should amd provides good functionality. I would give it that fifth star but it has an issue staying tight in all the right places and this gets annoying, but at least it doesnt happen qhen using it. Just have to make sure it is all secure before you start each time.

Decent Scribing Tool, Some Quirks
This scribing tool feels reasonably well-built in the hand, which is a positive point, aligning somewhat with the descriptions mentioning its aluminum alloy construction. For a 3-star rating, I’d say the overall quality seems okay for occasional use, but it doesn’t quite feel like a premium, highly durable tool as some product highlights might suggest.In terms of using it, as I mentioned, the build quality feels fine, which is reassuring. However, I did find that it was a bit too bulky for my preference, despite being advertised as compact and easy to carry. More importantly, I experienced issues with its performance; it didn’t seem to grip hard enough when trying to set it, and frustratingly, it tended to lose its form when I was in the middle of drawing lines or arcs. This made achieving consistent and precise marks difficult, which is a key function of a tool like this and goes against the advertised precision and ability to lock in shape.
