Saker 3D square
Couldn’t believe how fast it was shopped. Was surprised that it was im 2 pieces, had to be assembled, but there was no instruction sheet. Only took about 2 minutes to figure it out.

Tiny 3D Square—Useful If You Don’t Mind Figuring It Out
This Saker 3D carpenter square showed up smaller than I pictured—basically pocket-sized—but packs a ton of markings etched in crisp white on lightweight aluminum that feels sturdy enough for shop life. It’s got all kinds of angles and hole patterns for scribing lines or spacing screws, which could be super handy once you decode them, but zero instructions means you’re on your own guessing what everything does. The angle pin is a cool touch for quick presets, though there’s no good way to store it attached, so it’ll probably vanish into the tool abyss the first time you toss this in a bag.For tiny layout jobs or as a belt companion to bigger squares, it works fine if you tinker with it. Just don’t expect hand-holding or foolproof convenience.

Great versatile tool
I’m really loving this little square. It’s great for smaller projects where, quite frankly, bigger tools just get in the way. I have a medium plastic 3D square and this just feels so much better. The solid metal piece and its weight help stabilize this tool where it’s needed. I was a little concerned with the screws that hold the two pieces together because I also have a 12 inch long square but the two pieces wiggle just ever so slightly at the connector. I think the recessed holes on this square help secure the two pieces firmly, there’s no movement at all. I was also very happy with its precision, both with length and angles. And the pin lock is really helpful for these smaller projects. Everything about this tool speaks to its versatility and make it easy to recommend. The only small note I give is about one of the product’s photos. The second photo they provide shows a terrible insert that’s way out of scale. It’s clearly visible that it is this 4-inch square, but by scale it should be about 10 inches. So, just be aware that this is basically a 4 x 3 square and that it’s going to meet your needs.

Useful 3D Carpenter Square With Great Marking Features but One Drawback
I have tried a few different versions of these compact measuring and marking squares, and this one from Saker is one of the better executions I have used so far, even if it is not perfect. The standout feature for me is the series of holes along the side. They make it very easy to set a measurement, drop a pencil in, and slide the tool along a board to create a clean, parallel line. That is incredibly handy when you just need to shave a small amount off the edge of a board without constantly resetting a tape measure. The markings themselves are clear and easy to read. The red anodized finish with contrasting markings makes visibility a non issue, even in less than ideal lighting. Everything feels solid in hand, and the aluminum construction gives it a nice weight without feeling bulky.Where this style of tool continues to fall short for me is the assembly. Because the square is made from smaller pieces that bolt together, it is harder to guarantee full contact against a workpiece compared to a single piece square. This one ships flat and assembles with two bolts, which I understand from a packaging standpoint, but any joint in a measuring tool introduces a potential weak point. Even with the bolts tightened down well, I do worry about them loosening over time and affecting accuracy.Overall, this is a useful layout and marking tool with some genuinely helpful features, especially for quick repeat cuts and scribing lines. It just does not fully replace a traditional one piece square in my shop.

Good Value
I bought this 3D carpenter square because I was getting frustrated with standard framing squares that only gave me 90 degrees or basic 45s, and my woodworking projects—like building shelves or cutting miters for trim—needed more angle options without constantly grabbing a protractor or guessing. The multi-angle pin setup and compact size made it seem perfect for quick, precise layout on edges and corners without repositioning the tool every time.I’ve been using it regularly for marking out cuts on boards, setting up miter angles for picture frames, scribing parallel lines on stock, and checking squareness during assembly. The hidden pin locks it securely at common angles like 22.5, 30, 45, 60, and 75 degrees, which snaps into place reliably and holds steady while I draw lines or drill pilot holes. The aluminum alloy body feels lightweight yet rigid, with laser-etched scales on all three faces that stay clear and readable even after rubbing against rough wood, and the anodized finish resists scratches or corrosion in the shop. The compact size slips easily into a tool belt or pocket, and the hole scribing features let me mark consistent spacing for screws or dowels without measuring each one separately. For the price, it’s strong value—delivers way more functionality than basic squares I’ve used before that limited me to right angles, and the build quality feels premium with no play in the pin or fading marks after repeated use. It has made layout tasks faster and more accurate, five stars and it’s now a staple in my toolkit for anything involving angles or precise marking.
