Good in tight quarters, works in a different way. Nice storage case.
This is a very different nutsert tool. If you have used a wishbone type of riveting tool, you’ll have to learn a new way. This is a ratcheting tool, it works differently. Takes a bit of a learning curve, but easily learned. Test a rivet or two first on a blank piece of metal. Well built, heavy duty, tool itself is heavy. Nice thing is it can be used in tight places. Odd thing is the nose cone, has two opposing flats for a wrench to assist in removal, but no wrench included. All it needs a flat open end 20mm wrench, but they are not common. I did find a flat, short one online, but they should include one. Nice case, pinned hinges, has large area the for rivets. Would like to see the case with independent sections for the rivets instead of cellophane packs. There is storage in the lid for all the mandrels, very snug in their respective slots. Large, clear, size markings on the end of the mandrels.Instruction sheet could be written better, had to guess at a few things. The manual is 4 pages, with the last two being blank. They could include a chart on what drill size to use for each size of rivet included with the set, and thickness tolerances of the material being riveted to. The instructions indicate a scale on the tool, it took some very close looking to find a tiny scale, a decal that cannot not be seen while using, supposedly to help set the stroke of the tool. Really, you have to trust “feel” to get it set right. Yes, it can work with aluminum nutserts.Overall, good tool for the money, would recommend it to any mechanic & sheet metal worker.

Where has this tool been all my life? Excellent quality tool that covers both metric and inch sizes. I just reinstalled the running board on my truck using this and it worked as any professional quality tool should.

I’m impressed with this tool, I used it to set over 100 m8 rivnuts, and it held up flawlessly. It’s very easy to use, and takes 1/3 of the effort of the other styles of manual rivnut tools. I put a lot of toque on it, trying to see if it would hold up to abuse, and it does. It’s very well built, strong metal construction, and the mandrels are made of high quality tool steel, my metal file skates across it, not able to dig in. I’m thoroughly impressed, considering how inexpensive this tool is. The toolbox that it comes in is very sturdy, which is usually never the case with budget tools, which was a pleasant surprise, because I figured it would end up being a throw away item, and I would store it in my other tool boxes, but no, it’s very nice. I will update this review if the tool ends up failing, but I doubt it will after what I put it through today. 100% recommend this tool.

Sturdy, well made product
I recently purchased this product to drill holes and install rivnuts to mount a hitch on a tubular steel frame on a zero turn mower. It worked well. My only complaint is the short handles could make it a bit challenging to set some rivets if they were made of a harder metal due to the tool’s limited leverage. Overall a good product for the money.

Worked really well
I was skeptical due to the price but it feels like a heavy duty, well built tool. I needed to put a rivnut in an area where the long handle style tools wouldn’t fit and this worked like a charm. There’s some YouTube videos showing how to use it too.
