The live data is pretty cool, I’m no professional so I don’t know …
Does what it says. Works well on my 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX. I bought it because I got a check engine light and wanted to clear it to see if it would come back. I was able to read the code and confirm it was what autozone said, and erase the code. The live data is pretty cool, I’m no professional so I don’t know what most of the numbers are about. User interface is easy enough and the display is backlit and easy to read.If you’re a weekend warrior looking for a cheap OBDII reader, look no further. I’ve been happy with this so far.PS… The connector is a little finicky on my car. I do have to wiggle it a bit to make sure there is a good connection before the reader will load properly. Not sure if this is because of the reader or the jack on my car, but it’s not a huge deal.

Good tool, good price
It reads most all of the ecm data, kind of limited, it clears codes, gives live read outs that is handy for fixing those pesky OBD 2 computer problems, and if you have a older car it will really help. @ $39.00 A good deal. It tells the po code and reads out the problem description at the same time so you don’t have to read a code sheet for the code meaning. A handy tool. To bad OBD is such a pain to fix, with all the weard little problems it gets. Earlyer GM computers much better then obd ever could be.

Super reader with lots of functionality at a great price
This code reader is really easy to use and for most folks is the only reader they’ll need. The more expensive readers have expansive data bases that match the error code with the make, model and year of your vehicle and provide solutions for a fix. This product won’t do that, but if you have Internet access you can take the error code, do a little research on-line and within minutes get the the same or more information on how to solve your vehicles issues. This little reader coupled with about 10 minutes of research online saved me $500 dollars vs going to the dealership to solve the problem. Lastly, this reader is really small and easily fits in the glovebox. The only negative I found is that there is a little clip that locks the readers coupler to the computer plug in your car. The first couple of times I used it I couldn’t disconnect the reader. I finally used a pliers to clip off the retention clip and haven’t had any issues since.

Does not erase codes
2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 – read and worked but did not erase codes thus did not turn off engine light.

Fairly easy to read and use
Your question was did it meet my expectations ? For the price I would have to say yes ! Fairly easy to read and use . The only thing I was disappointed with is it won’t completely erase codes. You will have to read instruction manual to see what I mean . But for the most part it is nice to be able to read live data like O2 sensor , ETC sensor , TPS sensor , LTFT and STFT and a few more . Great little scanner for the price .

Love the code reader
There are a million of these on the market, with mixed reviews. This one is great. Does exactly what it is supposed to do, no issues. Plug it in, it gives me the engine codes and gives me running diagnostics as well. Easy to use and at a great price. Comes with a book with a key to the codes, but I find it easier to look the code up online and find I can diagnose an issue better. Definitely recommended.

Silverado Fault Code Checker
Bought this to use on my 2010 Silverado, worked great no issues at all. Hit the read button and it pulls up the faults and gives you the codes along with a small description of the problem. I ordered the extension cord, didn’t really need it this comes with enough cord. The extension was still worth having can sit comfortable and read it. Had an 0449 fault code, I purchased the part right here on Amazon half price from the Auto store $70.00 VS $120.00 for a evac sol. Great outcome, gave this 5 stars. Great price and does the job.

Tried it on my 2008 Mini Cooper S. Service …
Tried it on my 2008 Mini Cooper S. Service engine light is on, code reader says “no codes”. Won’t erase service engine light.

It is all I expected for the price, works well easy to use and to see, a bit stcky to detatch(one has to pull hard)but thats no big deal, otherwise it gave me my trouble code and problem very quickly and clearly , well worth the money

Delivered on time. Unit works o.k. Was disappointed that plug doesn’t fit properly in my car’s receptacle. You have to hold it in a certain position to make a good connection. Also difficult to remove once readings were taken. Oh well, will have to do I guess.

A must have for your tool box. Saved me twice so far from having a diagnostic bill of 70 plus dollars. Pays for itself the first time you need it. Easy to use.
