Works because I was on ground fork is hard to pound no room
Works on 2017 F-250 4wd .Buy it And do your own repairs used it on steering control shock.it will pop fast and hard and fall to side uses a 13/16 just turn till pops.

  2. Jon Strohbehn

    Nice sturty tools
Nice sturty tools that separated the front end parts I needed to repalce. They mad the job easy.

    Great value for the price.
Used on the tie rod ends of my 2011 MKX. If you over stress the tool the hinge pin pops out. Far better than having the tool break. For the price, it’s hard to beat the value.

    They’re cheap and they work
Nice cheap Chinese tools. They did the job and I added them to my arsenal. Fit and finish is what you’d expect from drop ship tools made in china. However, there was zero issues popping the ball joints on my 2020 Ram 1500. The attachments were on the small side. If you have a large vehicle, you’ll likely need to use the adjustable puller. Was a bit sketchy lol. Looking to save yourself a few hundred instead of taking your car to the shop? Then these are a solid buy. I don’t know if I’d buy these for professional use though.

Easy to use, excellent customer service!
EDIT-updated from 2 star to 5 starI reached out to OMT directly about the broken tools and they responded quickly. They shipped out a replacement with a lead time “around 3-7 business days”. It arrived the very next day.I was finally able to pull the pitman arm after 2 weeks of wrestling with it. It was rusted in place but these tools broke it free. I’m leaving my original review below for reference. I’m not sure if was user error or faulty tools, but OMT came through in the end.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Four of the five tools broke while using them. The 5th tool (separator) only survived because it wouldn’t fit around any of the ball joints on my 1992 Toyota Century. The large claw puller was able to move the pitman arm down a few mm before cracking.I used an obscene amount of silicone grease on the threads. I didn’t use an impact wrench. The joints have been sprayed with PB Blaster several times daily for about a week. I did everything I could to give these tools a fighting chance and they still broke. The large adjustable puller bent out of alignment on the first try. The arms are no longer even and do not sit flat making it useless. The bolt on the smallest puller sheared when I used a tube as a breaker extension. I had to use a hacksaw to cut it free. The large puller was the perfect size for the pitman arm. I went super slow with the tube extension, tightening a half turn or so before backing off, hosing the steering column down with penetrating fluid, and then tightening it again. Using this process, it moved a few mm before the claw snapped. I tried my luck separating the ball joint side of the pitman arm with the small puller. Using only a wrench (no extension) the claws began to bend backwards.I expected a little bit of a hassle when using these. Even one broken tool would’ve been understandable, but four? The metal used is of terrible quality. I do not recommend.

    Durable!
Can’t recommend this kit enough to coworkers. I had used one of them on a 2000 dodge ram 1500 to get the idler arm off and after using my air I left to get it as tight as I could, I then took my heavy sledge hammer and hit it until it came apart. The tool lived, the trucks apart

Kind of worked on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD
I’m a little torn on this review. I bought this kit to remove all the steering links/pitman arm on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD. In short, it mostly worked, but I had to bench grind some of the tools and I ended up busting one of the other tools in the kit, but to be fair, I used the tool for duty that it was not designed for. I gave it three stars b/c I think it would work well for smaller vehicles. Since it wasn’t advertised as being for any class of vehicle in particular I knew I was taking a chance. If you have my generation Ram 2500 and you’re looking at this kit, you will want to read this review…Most important, none of the tools fits the pitman arm where it mates with the pitman shaft. The large pitman arm puller in the kit is wide enough for the pitman arm, but the jaws/ears were too thick to clear the gap between the body of the steering gear and the pitman arm. In short, none of the tools in the kit fit my pitman arm application out of the box. So I tried using the tie rod puller with the movable jaws. Bad idea for two reasons, first the ‘cup’ on the end of the puller-screw was not meant for what I was using it for and it deformed under the stress and mangled a bit of the thread on the pitman shaft (not good), second, the stress also started to bend the screw on the puller (also not good). To be very clear, I’m not faulting the tool here, I was using the tie rod puller to pull a large pitman arm. So I gave up on that approach.Back to the large pitman arm puller…I used a bench grinder to thin the jaws/ears out. Great, problem mostly solved. Unfortunately the throat of the jaws/ears were also too small to clear the pitman arm shaft. Back to the grinder…OK, so now it finally fits. My impact wrench seemed to be working but then developed some problems…bummer…because I seemed to finally be making progress. I grab a large breaker bar. I put a lot of twist on that screw and then I felt it give…and not in that positive way…was pretty sure i just stripped-out the tool, but the pitman arm had finally budged!!So the pitman arm is off, but the tool is definitely worse for the wear (threads definitely deformed a bit). It could not have taken much more and I’m not sure it would be able to survive another pitman arm at this point. Just to be clear, although the truck is 14 years old at this point, there is little to no corrosion. I bought it corrosion free from the northwest and when I moved it northeast I have been diligent about about coasting it with Fluid Film (I highly recommend).Unfortunately, I damaged the tie rod puller trying to remove the pitman arm, so when I needed it for a few of the tie rod joints, I ended up busting it completely, again, I’m not blaming the tool here, but just keeping this review transparent. Sledge-hammered the rest of the job.

I used the Ball Joint Separator and Puller to replace the steering spindle on my SUV, and it worked flawlessly. The tools are solid, well-built, and made the job much easier than I expected. The different attachments fit perfectly, and the leverage on the pullers is excellent.Saved me a lot of time and frustration.Highly recommend this set for anyone doing suspension or steering work at home.
