Amazing unit, just remove the film protection on the screen!
EDIT: I watched a YouTube video with like 70 views reviewing this scanner to see if they commented on how bad the screen condition is just for 30 seconds in the guy showed there was a film to peel back. Sure enough there is one lmao. It’s so tight and snug on the screen you can’t even tell there is a film. I checked the item on Amazon and the AI thing stated that it does not have a protective film and that the manufacturer did free replacements due to screens being unprotected and damaged on arrival. Well I’m sending the new replacement unit back now that my screen is perfect lol. Thought I would share this since so many reviews (my original included) said the screen was scuffed up on arrival and there isn’t a clearly stated advisory that there is film to remove. Changing my review to a 5 star because it is now perfect!Amazing scanner with a lot of functions and utilities. I’m genuinely impressed for the price I paid. I used it to program a new key fob after learning that my Honda has remote start I was never told about 5 years ago when I bought it lol. I’ve wanted a nice OBD2 scanner for a while now because I bought a TopDon scanner with an app, and didn’t realize after using it for a while that it has a subscription for $100 a year. No thanks lol. I hate the subscription world we live in. This scanner does everything the TopDon does and more, for free. It’s also way more user friendly and has an on screen walkthrough whenever you use the functions!The reason I am giving 4 stars is the screen comes buffed and scratched up right out of the box. I saw in basically every picture on the reviews that the screens are all scuffed up like mine. That’s super disappointing but the price and functions make up for it.Other than the screen issue the whole thing is a beefy little consumer grade unit and will make self repairs easier than ever.

Functions well. Very easy to use if you have any experience with them. It’s way more simple than they were back in 04 when I first started using them. Great buy at an amazing price! Easy to read and it has a memory expansion slot for SD cards.

Professional OBD2 Scanner
This scanner can do a lot of things, which is what I wanted in scanner. But mostly I wanted a scanner that could reset specific codes when they came up. I don’t know how many resets there are in a specific car, but this scanner seems to be able to handle what I needed it to do. Unfortunately, my car is not cooperating. Yes, I can reset the codes but they come right back. Which means I need to find out why these codes keep coming up. Yes, this scanner can desribe what the codes mean, and the possible reasons why these codes exists. But it will be up to me to track down why the ABS system is giving me troubles.

Too frustrating to use
Wanted to like it but way too frustrating to use. Seems well built and scans well but all the little annoyances make it an unhappy experience.List of annoyances:-Came with a scratched screen-Battery drains rapidly, in use & just sitting-has to scroll through every single protocol every time before initiating a scan. Not sure why the user can’t simply select “US” or “Canada” and move on. Even after plugging in the vehicle info and committing to the device’s memory, it still insists on checking every protocol first. Super slow but afterwards scans quickly enough.-Can’t figure out how to clear a single code for testing to make sure the repair worked. There is only one function to clear ALL codes which is ridiculously unhelpful-AI is mildly helpful but needs a constant internet connection. This is disappointing as I was hoping it had onboard Ai built in. This functionality is made worse by the fact the wifi connection/range is very weak so you must stay very close to the router.While it scans well, these little frustrations is getting it sent back.

I’ve been using the MUCAR 632 for a few weeks now and it honestly feels like having a mini mechanic at home.The AI explanations and bidirectional controls are super helpful, especially for clearing codes and doing resets without guessing.The screen is clear and fast, and I love that updates are lifetime with no subscription.That said, it’s definitely more complex than a basic OBD2 reader, so there’s a bit of a learning curve if you’re new.Compatibility can also be hit or miss depending on the car, so checking beforehand is important.Overall, pricey but worth it if you like doing proper DIY diagnostics instead of just reading codes.

I work from home now, so I drive less now (used to commute daily). Maybe a few thousand kilometres a year, mostly city. I’m not the type who keeps up with scheduled maintenance. I only go in when something sounds or feels off. I’m not mechanically minded and I get mixed up spatially, so unless it’s something obvious like a dying battery, worn brakes, or a muffler about to fall off, I tend to find out about things like alternators, fan belts, or coil springs the hard way. Not ideal, nor the safest way to deal, I know.So, if not obvious, going to the mechanic is something I definitely put off. Trying to explain a noise or vibration makes me uncomfortable and for sure feels like the second you pull into the bay they’re already getting ready to add to the bill. 🤑By the time they come back with their list of suggested things to fix, my anxiety is up there.Anyhow, recently, after work on a freezing day, I’d finished grocery shopping, got into my car, turned the key, and nothing. All the warning lights lit up. I had no idea which one mattered. That’s why the timing on receiving the MUCAR 632 helped me. In my case it turned out to be the low tire pressure alert because I have a slow leak. That warning seems to trigger a few other lights too. Even after topping up the tires one of the lights stayed on, so having this tool tell me what was happening and reset it was useful.And it does much more than the basics. Newer cars have so many internal features that a tiny issue can spark multiple warnings. This scanner reads the codes, explains them in plain language, points to the system involved, and suggests what you could consider checking yourself if you feel comfortable.After charging it and setting up the WiFi, you plug it into the diagnostic port under the dashboard. The app walks you through scanning the main systems. Even if a light goes out on its own later, the scanner shows the original reason it appeared. No need to dig through forums or get conflicting information from random sources.It is also good for resets after maintenance. After an oil change it clears the reminder. If you replace brake pads, the battery, inflate the tires, or adjust the steering, it sends the reset command so the car recognises the update and stops thinking something is unresolved.And since AI guidance keeps improving whenever it connects to WiFi. It uses manufacturer data, known repair patterns, and previous codes to explain what is going on (without trying to sell you anything).I even lent it to my neighbour, whose my go-to when something goes wrong. Now I’m the one helping, which feels good, like paying it forward.For someone cautious like me, this is a steady, informative tool that brings down the anxiety and gives me a bit more confidence. Personalmente l’ho preso perchè la mia macchina che ha già qualche anno, ogni due e tre mi si accende una spia che spesso è solo un banale errore da ripristinare e portarla ogni volta dal meccanico per una cosa del genere non mi conveniva molto. Ha davvero moltissime funzioni e monitoraggi tra le cose più banali tipo olio, freni, iniettori ecc.. ma anche più avanzate a livello di concessionaria e officine professionali.Il sistema operativo è molto veloce, non ha alcun tipo di rallentamento ed il touchscreen è molto reattivo! Il vero punto forte secondo me sono gli aggiornamenti a vita, anzichè costringerti a comprare un modello nuovo dopo un paio di anni.. Esteticamente mi piace, è molto professionale ed i materiali di cui è fatto non sono affatto scadenti, anzi tutt’altro! E’ molto robusto e si vede che c’è molta cura a monte. L’unica cosa che consiglio è di trovare un vetrino salva schermo adattabile perchè magari con l’utilizzo in officina potrebbe rigarsi o rompersi a lungo andare.Secondo me è molto indicato per appassionati di auto e chi se ne intende un minimo, ma anche a professionisti meccanici ed elettrauto, perchè secondo me è uno strumento abbastanza semi-professionale. Non penso sia molto adatto a principianti ma in ogni caso comunque c’è il manuale e poi l’interfaccia dello scanner è molto chiara ed intuitiva, con un po’ di pratica e ricerca si riesce a capire bene tutto.
