Excellent. Works on cars and semisI didn’t read and didn’t see it doesn’t have forced Regen (description even tells you) but this thing was awesome. Really easy to use it pulled up all of the codes and I was able to find them online. The speed was pretty good too I think with semis it might be a little slower. And the screen was really easy to read for the price and what I used it for it was a really good buy.

Nicer then most OBD scanners
When I used to work on cars this would have been a super handy tool to have. Now, I don’t work on cars as the friend whom I used to fix old cars up with passed away. I am just not into doing that sort of thing. Anyways, I did think owning an OBD2 scanner would come in handy for me to clear codes and to keep an eye on the details of my new 2019 Ford Escape. Being a brand new car I didn’t think I would have any issues but at the same time if something seems odd being able to narrow down the cause before calling the dealer always makes for getting a repair done quicker, at least in my experience. The problem I have found with this OBD2 scanner is that not all the functions work with my car. This was pretty disappointing but on the bright side being able to clear basic codes and check if my battery is at a good level is nice. I have used OBD2 scanners with fewer functions and harder to see and read screens. The buttons are easy to press it powers on from the OBD2 port so no need for any double AA’s to power it. The one thing I don’t really care for on the device is that they use a Mini USB port and I have that shown in the photos I took for firmware updates. Mini USB is outdated and sometimes it’s a bit harder of a cable to find in stores. I would have gone with Micro USB or even better, USB-C. All in all, if I would have had a different model car all the functions should have worked great. What I was able to use gives me faith that the device is a good buy.

It does its job. It’s difficult to get to the correct menu at first but when I did, the lights and relays started blinking. That’s the way I knew the right program was selected. Select auto or truck and start with the first item of the sub menuI’d like other options such as open doors that the dealers have and also an upgrade to be able to reset all faults.

2nd review. While I had issues with it working for my Freightliner, my misunderstanding. Our daughter came to us and said that her check engine light was on. So, once I located the connection, under the dash on the drivers side. I connected the code reader. It immediately, came up with a code. I drilled down on the screen and learned that there was a large leak in the evaporator system. Drilling down more, I read that it could be the gas cap. I checked the cap and sure enough, she didn’t tighten the cap after the last time she added fuel. This saved us a service call and all because she didn’t tighten the cap. I tighten the cap, removed the code and all is well.

Defective Product After First Use
It’ll work perfectly the first time, and maybe even a second time. After that, it turns back into a pumpkin. Tried using it a third time, of course I needed it after the return policy had expired by 2 days, and it did not work. It keeps telling me that it has problems communicating. Plug in to the correct plug (there’s only one plug, which worked last time). The car is on (no, the car is off just like last time). My car may not be compatible (It’s the same car as last time). The only thing that works is the battery tester.Do not waste your time and money with this product. The only reason why this has good ratings It’s because customers didn’t bother to go back to update their initial favorable review.

I bought it for KIA Ceed 2009 as it had a fault light on.The device showed 0 codes. I went to the garage – their device showed an error code instantly.Waste of money!

Works as described so far so good… seems to take a long time to load pages for diagnostics but eventually does the job.Maybe a software update would fix that?Using on a 2003 IHC 4400 truck. so no pollution modules to check so not sure how it is at that.Happ y so far !
