Machine is awesome. I’ve been operating scan tools since1986 and I’ve got to say this is the easiest machine I’ve ever ran for diagnostics. All of the newer machines are about the same but for the price of this one you can’t go wrong. Once you figure out the series process, it’s a breeze. Don’t waste your money on the “Tool Truck” brands as this one is more than capable of getting the job done. The Wi-Fi feature and AI are awesome.

I’ve tested a couple of MUCAR scanners including this 682 model on both my Lexus and BMW, and I’m blown away by how much they offer given their price point. This MUCAR 682 scanner with full system diagnostics and bi-directional controls offer unbelievable value at $265 (after the $15 discount).The 682 definitely takes functionality up a notch compared to the 632 model, which I also tested. The key differentiator is that this is a full-system diagnostic tool, not just a 4-system scanner. You’re getting access to every module in the car such as engine, ABS, airbag, transmission, BCM, TPMS, and many more. Plus, it offers 20 reset functions for common maintenance procedures across many makes and models.In my testing on the BMW, it scanned every single module and found specific codes I knew existed — depth you miss with basic scanners. Again, the reset functions cover practically every common service task a DIY garage needs, including ABS bleeding, EPB service, gearbox relearn, and VTG/transfer case reset (e.g. on the BMW).Having bi-directional controls is precious. While you might need to bump up to the MUCAR 892BT for professional-level coding, this unit allows you to command components like fuel injectors, pumps, and fans for diagnosis or to verify repair immediately.The touch screen is beautiful and responsive. And I love physical buttons too, especially when you wear gloves or get dirty on the job. It offers live data and clear graphs, and 4-in-1 merged chart is nice to have. One feature available on this scanner, surprisingly, is IMMO/Key Matching. I’ve used this feature on 892BT with great success to create keys for Toyota/Lexus. The menu looks similar on this scanner, and I’m confident it will work on this unit too. Think about this — if you need to add a spare key to your car, you can get a $30 unlocked compatible key and pair/match the key using this 682 scanner. This feature alone will justify the purchase of this scanner as you’ll likely spend $400 or more to get a spare key from the Toyota/Lexus dealership.Lately I’ve been impressed by MUCAR scanners! This 682 scanner continues to be impressive — it is such a great value with so many advanced features!

STOP LOOKING FOR ANY OTHER BRAND AND GET THIS ONE NOW! I’ve been researching for a good scanner for a while, and most of the good ones requires an annual subscription and the forever free upgrades always have glitches. tried many brands until I came across this one that have the best of both worlds, it has the most complete selection of functions and is free of any subscription, you buy it and is yours, no annual fees. It does it all, I have tried with the newer vehicles with 20 or 30 modules and it can access all of them, it reads, write and do some coding depending of the brand, it has even immobilizer and remote programming same as the most expensive units, the brand is a sister of thinkcar which is good known on the car repair business, but this same model on the thinkcar brand will be much more expensive. So far the scanner has everything needed for the day to day of a car mechanic, the AI function is very useful and is a sort of Alldata with diagrams and flowchart of where you need to look for a specific fault, so far everything works as it should and I honestly will give 10 starts if it were possible, there are absolutely no other unit with the same capabilities for this price, it has some cons compared with the big units (>$1000) like is a little bit slower to process, the obd cable is a little too short and too rigid, and there is no hard storage case included (which I strongly recommend you to buy) but all are understandable considering is a low cost scanner, can’t have all the stuff of a $1500 scanner for less than $300. Overall is the best you can get for the money!

This is a review for a Mucar car diagnostic tool. I am an automobile enthusiast, but I am not a professional.I’ve had this computer for a few weeks. I’ve also had the opportunity to compare it to a different model by the same manufacturer and this one is so much better than their other model. This is an all system scanner. Meaning that it should identify and provide you with error codes associated with all systems in your supportive vehicle. (You still have to do diagnosis. This thing does not shoot out a part number for you to change.). Finally, the item is very high-quality and should survive a shop environment.As compared with their model, 632, this device basically has the same interface, but it is much more functional because it does all the systems instead of just a few systems. As you can see by the pictures, it diagnosed a couple of low batteries on tire pressure sensors on my car, which I have to get fixed. Additionally, it was able to read and clear codes and otherwise provide me with the information necessary to quickly arrive at diagnosis related to my car. The user interface is quite easy to use. And additionally, you will need to connect it to Wi-Fi in order to update it and use the AI function to help you with diagnosis. I think the value for the money is exceptional given the product offered. Finally, you have the ability to graph and you can check OBD2 codes in addition to manufacturers specific codes.

Pour les bricoleurs ou les garages indépendants, c’est un vrai gain de temps et d’argent.L’écran tactile est réactif, la navigation fluide et l’appareil robuste grâce à sa coque en caoutchouc. Il tient bien en main et son interface Android est rapide et intuitive. La batterie tient bien la charge et la puissance du processeur rend les analyses rapides. Je regrette l’absence d’une housse ou coque de transport, à ce prix là c’est mérité..!😞Côté compatibilité, il est à jour avec les dernières technologies (CAN-FD, DOIP, AutoAuth FCA), ce qui le rend utilisable sur des véhicules récents. Le seul petit point faible, c’est qu’il faut parfois un peu de temps pour se familiariser avec toutes les fonctions, surtout pour les novices, mais une fois pris en main, il devient un outil indispensable.Excellent outils diagnostic, le prix peut paraître excessif, mais on fini toujours par économiser de l’argent, surtout quand on a 3 voitures à la maison…Convient parfaitement à mon utilisation personnelle.Je recommande.!👍🏼

I’m not a mechanic, but as my kids have grown older and shown an interest in working on cars, we’ve ventured into doing more repairs to our older vehicles. This includes simple things like battery swaps, heater fan replacements, spark plugs, and oil changes as well as more complex tasks like replacing fuel injectors. I’ve used both simple OBD2 scanners (i.e., a module you plug in and then use an App on your phone) as well as more full-featured ones. I’m now sold that if you want to invest in an OBD2 scanner it’s best to get a standalone unit, primarily because you’ll get more robust results and are able to do things like reset codes. This MUCAR scanner is one of those comprehensive scanners, with a rugged build that makes it great for use in a garage.In addition to the reader you get the connection cable, an USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and an instructions manual. I do wish this came with a storage case specifically so it would be easy to keep the cables and reader together. As is, I’ll continue to use the box to store it in. The reader is ready to go out-of-the-box, though I did connect it to my WiFi network so I could download and install the latest updates (for individual car makes), which took a while since there were over 70 new codes to retrieve. The full set of updates took over an hour to do but would be much faster if you keep it up to date on a regular basis or are only looking to update for a few specific car makes.Using the scanner is as expected – plug it in to the OBD2 port in your car, turn on the power (but don’t start the vehicle), then power up the scanner. There is an option to auto-detect the VIN, which works seamlessly and gives the reader all the information it needs to perform diagnostic tests.I didn’t have any warning lights but I still ran the full test to see what it would detect. It actually picked up a few error codes that I’ll have to look into, so it’s already proving useful. You can save reports for future reference and, although I didn’t try it, can also email them. There is also an “AI” feature, which while I’m not sure is really AI, does help to translate error codes into plain-language explanations, saving having to get the codes and then do Internet searches to determine what they might mean.While I didn’t use the bi-directional features, which allows you to not just receive commands but send them as well, I can see this being useful – especially if you own newer model vehicles. I also didn’t have the need to use it for resetting items but I’ve had to do this in the past with other fault codes and it’s proven to be a very useful feature, so it’s great this is included. I’m also impressed with the build quality as the buttons are responsive, as is the touch screen, and the interface is relatively intuitive to use. Overall, and considering the cost relative to other full-featured OBD2 scanners, this is a good product and I look forward to many years of use.

Llevo unos días probando el MUCAR 682 y la verdad es que me ha sorprendido gratamente. No es el típico lector de códigos básico que solo te dice que tienes un fallo; esta es una herramienta de diagnóstico de verdad. Lo que más me ha gustado es el control bidireccional, ya que puedes activar componentes del coche directamente desde la pantalla (como las ventanas o los inyectores) para ver si funcionan, algo que normalmente solo hacen los equipos mucho más caros.La pantalla de 6.2 pulgadas es muy fluida y se ve genial, nada que ver con esos escáneres lentos con pantallas minúsculas. El hecho de que traiga actualizaciones gratuitas de por vida es un puntazo, porque te aseguras de que no se quedará obsoleto y seguirá siendo compatible con modelos nuevos. Además, cubre prácticamente todos los sistemas del coche (ABS, Airbag, Motor, Transmisión, etc.) y tiene muchísimas funciones de mantenimiento como el reseteo del aceite o el purgado del ABS.Es muy intuitivo de usar gracias a que viene en español y la asistencia por IA te ayuda a entender mejor los fallos. Si te gusta hacerle tú mismo el mantenimiento a tu coche o quieres evitar que te engañen en el taller con diagnósticos falsos, esta compra se amortiza sola en el primer par de usos. Muy recomendado.
