A Real Tool Experience in a Toy Set
My 5-year-old son absolutely loves this set. His interest in tools actually started last year when his grandfather visited us. They spent a lot of time together doing small repairs and home projects, and ever since then my son has been fascinated with anything related to tools. So when this set arrived, his eyes lit up—it felt like he finally had his own toolbox. The wooden base is made from natural, solid wood and feels very high quality. It doesn’t feel like a cheap toy at all; it’s more like a mini repair kit. The screws, wrenches, and especially the drill bits look and feel like something made for adults. I was expecting something simplified for kids, but once I opened it, I realized these parts are very realistic and sturdy. This makes it perfect for introducing kids to real tools in a safe way. It’s excellent for hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and problem-solving practice. The most impressive part is the drill. It folds so it can be used either as a straight screwdriver or as a regular drill. You don’t need batteries—just charge it and it’s ready to go. But here’s the thing: the drill’s power and speed are surprisingly strong. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like a toy at all; it works almost like a real tool. Because of that, I would say this is definitely not for 3-year-olds. It’s much better suited for ages 5 and up, where kids can handle it with more control.Another great feature is that the drill bits can actually be swapped out. My son has already figured out how to switch them himself, and he absolutely loves it. He goes around the house saying, “I’ve got my own drill!” and tries small “repair projects.” It gives him a huge sense of pride and makes playtime feel meaningful. The only weak point is the drill’s direction switch—it feels a bit flimsy compared to the rest of the set. It still works fine, but it’s the one part that seems less durable. Other than that, the build quality is excellent overall: the wood is solid, the screws and bits are well-made, and it all seems like it will last a long time. All in all, this set feels like much more than just a toy. It introduces kids to real tools, teaches them useful skills, and keeps them engaged for long stretches of time. For my son, it was a perfect fit—both fun and educational. If you’re looking for something that builds skills, confidence, and creativity, I highly recommend it.

what toddler wouldn’t enjoy a drill that works?
Exactly what we expected it to be!! He loves it. He is 23 months and has been using Dad’s tools for months. Now he has his own and is begining to gain the concept of a few of them already. Of course the drill is the star of the show – what toddler wouldn’t enjoy a drill that works?
