    Great for any age
Bought for my Son, but so far my Daughter plays with it anytime she is in his room. I cannot say enough good things about the Brand, if there’s a deal on Melissa and Doug products 9/10 I am buying it. Great quality products that are age appropriate. The products are soft enough for a baby but functional enough for a toddler to play with as well.

    Personally I love it!
There are a lot of reviews here where it states the kid didn’t like the toy. However I do wonder how many of those showed them how to use it, or if they use tools themselves? I plan on giving this to a 1.5 year old girl, she likes the other toys from this company, and I love tools myself, I know I’ll be the only one to have something like this. I can’t rate it based on how a child likes it, because they have to be with it over a spell. From the perspective of me – I love it. The screw/nails have a slot in them, and the screwdriver seems stiff enough that you can use it as one, yet it’s not a weapon. The hammer has enough stiffness to pound, and while I couldn’t remove it from the box, the claw end seems like it should be able to pull a toy nail. The drill has a cord on it that when pulled it vibrates. They use many colors and textures on this toy. The one part I don’t like, that while they included lots of detail, the ruler isn’t accurate, it’s not calibrated, and while that sounds totally ridiculous, this is an educational toy and it should be more accurate. Near as I can tell, their 1″ is about 3/4″ but the concept is cute.I feel that if you use tools around the house, the child might want to mimic that, and now she can. Plus I think the tools are large enough that they won’t be dragged off by the cat. And best of all they make no noise. Not every toy needs to make noise.

It’s full of fun tools and accessories that keep my grandson entertained for hours.
I bought it for my 3-year-old grandson and he loves it. The tools are realistic looking, made from durable materials, and have withstood countless hours of playtime. It’s also a great way to teach him about different tools, as the toolbox comes with a comprehensive manual. He loves taking the tools out, pouring them into his toybox, and then trying to put them back in the toolbox. It’s also great that all of the pieces are easy to clean and store. The bright colors are very attractive to him, and he enjoys playing with them for hours! The bright colors and chunky pieces are perfect for little hands to hold, and I love that it’s easy to take on the go. Plus, all the pieces are stored neatly in the toolbox! This is definitely a must-have for any child who loves playing with tools.

Great for little handy men/ women.
I love this little tool box. I also save a ton of money on home maintenance now that my toddlers insist on fixing absolutely everything for me. The tools are soft, but sturdy at the same time. The toolbox and all of the handles are made from a very soft corduroy fabric that is really nice and the faux metal parts are stiffened so they are nice and rigid. The drill vibrates when you pull the cord, so that adds some realism too. Really fun and well made.

    Absolutely Adorable!
This is just the cutest toy you can buy. I love that I can wash all the pieces. My 10 month old loves to play with all the little pieces. The plush saw and hammer seem to be his favorite! The drill has a pull string at the bottom of it and it vibrates, extremely cute! My only con would be the little plastic tool box… its not very useful and it rarely gets much play. I wish it was made of mesh instead of plastic as well (would seem safer). Its just not a solid piece so it doesnt stay open for my son to be able to put pieces in and out of it. It basically serves no function other than looks. Overall though, the plush tools were worth the purchase!!!

I wish my kids liked it more
For some reason my kids didn’t take to this as well as I thought. My 2.5 year old daughter occasionally picks up the drill and plays with it for less than a minute, then moves on to something else. She is amused though when I show her how each item works. My 8 month old son will gnaw on the screwdriver or screw, then move on. I still like it though because the materials are nice and soft. There is some corduroy which gives a nice texture on all the items. The quality is nice, and it looks handsome in a play area. Most previous posters have stated what each item does. The drill has a pull-cord which causes it to vibrate. The saw has some sturdy plastic or something inside helping to keep its shape when “sawing”. The two brown blocks are held together with velcro and can be “sawed” apart. They also have holes in them where the screws fit perfectly. The screws have hold on top where the screwdriver fits perfectly. The handle of the toolbox has velcro on one end allowing items to be taken out/placed in with ease. It’s also a ruler, but does not detach from one side. The price is decent, around $20, for a nice set. I hope my kids will eventually play with it more, but even on the shelf, it still serves a purpose of looking nice.

Great gift for a baby boy!
I purchased this set to give my baby nephew for his first birthday. It is so cute! The pieces are nice and soft and just the right size for little hands. I know he will have fun “fixing” things with his tools. Like every other Melissa and Doug product we’ve owned, this one is well-made and seems like it will be very durable. And it’s adorable, too!The box says 18 months+, but I think younger babies would like it is well, and there is absolutely nothing to the toy that would make it unsafe for a younger baby.

    Great toy!
I exposed my daughter to hand tools, both manual and powered. She was pulling the trigger on my electric drill when she was three. She grew up to be a handy young woman. I bought this toy as a subtle indication that I intended to do the same with my granddaughter. She is eight months old and loves these pieces. They are brightly colored, easy to grab, and chewable. Everything an eight month old could ask for. They also seem pretty well built so I expect them to be durable.

Pensavo fossero di plastica ma quando con puntualità sono arrivati e mi sono accorto che erano di stoffa sono stato meravigliato dalla sicurezza che davano nell’essere maneggiato dal bambino .Grazie
