This tool is awesome! 10 stars !We did have to mount it to a board and clamp the board to the workbench to be able to use the crank but I was able to strip so many wires with so much ease!!! Once the plates are adjusted to the right place it works so so good. I cannot say enough about this products worth and I feel like I didnt pay enough for it!

Best for a lot of one gauge
Works well when it’s set to the right thickness, however it hard to adjust to different wire gauges on the fly. It is efficient if you have a lot of one type to split open. If you have short pieces you can pull it off but if it’s a longer strand you are best to pull it off as it’s being cranked through. I put a picture of how I mounted it to an empty spool of wire. You can use it without mounting but it is not very efficient

Good value for the money.
Need to do some test runs on shorter pieces of wire, especially if it’s multi-strand. Too deep and it starts shredding the individual wires. Once I figured out the correct setting it’s great. I spend a lot less time stripping wire. The only thing I wish it had was a setting for wire smaller that 3mm. I also wish the shaft was a little bit longer. It would be easier for putting it on a base and the edge of the handle wouldn’t hit it.
