They do not work as advertised. Cannot thread the inside of a pipe and if you thread the outside it makes the pipe too thin to use

Works well for the street elbow
With the right kind of pipe this will work but it’s a little awkward to use and is kind of expensive. It’s meant to go into a hand held drill and ideally you could do this by hand but you have to be steady and strong with it. It doesn’t really say but I think this is more for making a street elbow out of PVC because you got the small side for the inner threads of the bigger hole and the big side for making the outer threads on the smaller pipe connection. That would leave me to believe that there is some sort of PVC street elbow blank that this will work best with. And I just checked and yeah there is 90 degree street elbow blanks for sale on Amazon and I’m sure this works with those.The only other thing to consider is how this bit is actually two pieces. That’s of no consequence unless you are prone to losing things which is why I wrapped mine up together when I put them in my toolbox compartment.

Make your own threads on pvc
When in need of a screw cap or an external threaded piece of pipe, now I can make it myself. These are heavy duty quality & I think they will last a lifetime because of that & what they cost you are getting great value for your money.
