Awsome tool
Awsome scanner but I don’t like the fact that if I want to use the functions like battery testing or Osiliscope you have to purchase more equipment to do that. Otherwise it does scan good but did notice the scanner needs to be connected to the internet to work properly or it won’t work right so that is not good for mobile mechanics unless you have a Hotspot on your cell phone and the scanners wifi is connected to that. Also it don’t advertise it but yes you can print reports to a wifi printer so you don’t need to buy their special printer to do that.

So far, so good!!
After watching a bunch of videos and reading up about the x431 and comparing against a slew of other scan tools I ended up purchasing this last week. I’m a DIY-er that has played with some older handheld code readers with very limited functionality, and then I’ve graduated to a Bluetooth reader where lots of different smartphone applications and even some computer software (such as ForScan) is supported, for seeing limited additional modules (not just the PCM, but usually not much more than ABS). I only work on my own cars, as they occasionally have DTCs that I need to troubleshoot, so, yes… this is overkill for me. But I embrace overkill. So far, in the first day of using this scan tool I’ve diagnosed multiple problems on 2 different vehicles. This includes SRS, ABS, and traction control issues on one of the vehicles, and cam position sensor-related problems as well as an air suspension height reset needing to be done on the other vehicle. I also tested the bi-directional features and this will definitely be helpful when the time comes.I’m also glad I picked up this Bluetooth/wireless version of the tool, as I was able to easily take it under the hood, as well as to all 4 wheels for the air suspension reset. The battery seems to last a long time, even while datalogging with the screen on near full brightness for a while. No complaints so far based on the capabilities that I understood this tool would and would not have. On day two I already saved close to what I would have spent taking this to a shop for diagnosis.

Great scanner for European vehicles – especially for Porsche and Mercedes
I’ve been using Autel scanners for over a decade and decided to give the LAUNCH X431 PRO3S+ a try—and I’m seriously impressed. The usability is different, but in a good way. It’s noticeably more precise, especially on German cars. I was able to access certain modules and fault codes on a Porsche that neither Autel nor even PIWIS 3 could detect. Launch pinpointed the issue with no guesswork. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend it to anyone working on European vehicles.

BIDIRECTIONAL FUNCTIONS doesn’t work.
It did not perform the functions said in the description, did not meet my expectations. I wasn’t able to get a result for a misfire or bidirectional in special functions.
