Highly recommend to anyone
This is a gift I bought for my dad and this is his impression/opinion on it. This will save me a lot of money instead of taking my vehicle to a mechanic, the launch CRP123X Elite is perfect for anyone. Feels very high-quality! The big rubber over mold around the device help when holding it. It is mostly plug and play, it has a rechargeable battery which is nice, so you don’t have to be plugged in to be able to turn it on. It comes with a nice case, the touchscreen on it is amazing, it’s just like using your phone and also very user friendly, if you don’t want to use the touch screen then you can use the buttons instead. Other useful features are the code search. If you’re connected to the internet through wifi, when you do the code search it brings up Google search just the same way it does on your phone, it will also save the vehicle information and codes for future use. If you’re unplugged and away from the vehicle, but want to look at the codes just power it on, and find the file. The auto vin detect is also great, I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to work on their own vehicles or know what is wrong with it first before taking it in to a mechanic.

Very user friendly!
I have only used this once so far, but it has proven to be very handy! Will read standard trouble codes, and show other parameters as well, such as voltage. It’s pretty straight forward and easy to use, I would say It would be good for an entry level mechanic as well as one that is more advanced.

I need to return it and start working on me. It comes on, but it don’t work like it should replacement no refund. I just want replacement.

Professional tool
This scan tool is not for the novice, if you have no prior experience with this type of full Function scan tool its not for you.I had difficulties trying to get it to work for me, I ended up returning it. I believe its a very good diognostic tool in the right hands, but I will purchase something more user friendly for a novice user.

UPDATED! LAUNCH SUPPORT TEAM DID END UP MAKING IT RIGHT!
UPDATED REVIEW! After 2 months of posting this review, Launch support team contacted me and wanted to make things right. After a few emails back amd forth talking about the issues I was having with the unit, they refunded me the full amount and didn’t even want the unit back. The unti is still unusable but I truly believe I must have just gotten a bad one. For the price and the functions of the unit if you get a good one it is worth it. When it did work it worked great! Thanks Launch support team for making this situation right!The scanner worked out of the box. I used it twice in the last month. I pulled it out the other day and it won’t charge. And when I plug it in the screen just flashes. I cant get any product help for this product. A COMPLETE waste of money. I have never been more disappointed in a product. I work out of my garage so I spent the extra money on this type of scanner and it failed miserably. I think I might have just got a bad unit, but with zero product support your stuck with a pile of junk…. I buy alot on Amazon but I will forever avoid Launch scanner products, and will NEVER refer them to anyone else. I hope the company sees this review and wants to do the right thing and give me some options. DO NOT BUY!!

Great product, I bought it to replace my old scanner because it would not reset the throttle body on my wife’s honda civic si. This scanner reset it no problem, plus helped me digenose a few other issues the car was having. Well worth the money
