    This is an Overseas Model so good luck with support
    Not a bad scanner for the price. It works well on Allison, Cat Cummins. Wabco depending on the year it will work just have to use another function for it to work on them. Will regen and reset filter life. This is an over seas model so tech support is a little difficult.

    Great Scanner
    A+++

    Works as advertised
    This scanner works great on my 2013 Freightliner Cascadia. Takes some time to get familiar with it like any electronic device. I was able to code the new injectors I installed, run cylinder compression test and cut in/out cylinder function to diagnose the problem and erase all trouble codes once the work was done. It did everything I purchased it for and I definitely see this coming in handy down the road. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because its processing speed is little slow and its not Bidirectional but being able to perform Dpf services, coding and speed adjustments with a unit at this price point, I can look past these minor flaws. I dont see nothing wrong with this unit for the owner op that just needs to get a little further into depth to get to a problem and get up and going.

    A Good Scan Tool 😉
    Note: Photos taken with an iPhone SE.I needed a new ODBII scan tool for my vehicle, as the one I had was a basic 3 line/text monochrome screen with a green backlight, and the code information was a separate physical manual that you had to thumb through.I’ll get to the cons right away:–Short cord; could be a foot longer.–No case comes with the device, you have to buy it separately.–Firmware update tool is only available on Windows PCs, no MacOS support.Pros:–Easy to navigate the menus–Responsive and clicky buttons–Powers on very fast–LCD Screen is 320×240 so it’s able to display a lot of information that is accurateSome of the functions and capabilities only work on certain cars. For instance, my Kia Soul 2012 doesn’t support some of the advanced EVAP tests or O2 sensor tests.The device was able to clear 2 CEL (Check Engine Light) codes that were bugging me, mainly due to EVAP issues relating to fuel emissions, which wasn’t hindering performance or anything.Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase as it wasn’t too expensive and offers a lot of information that my old one did not.

    This thing will keep you informed about your car.
    This is a great tool to have. i have an older car, and i took it to the local mechanic and they charged me $65 just to tell me what was wrong with the car ( called an inspection fee). i was upset, because $65 seems ridiculous which it is, and then i started to research to find out. An OBD2 Scanner can tell you pretty much everything about your car. So i got this scanner less than what i have paid at mechanic shop. Now to pay it forward, i have told all my friends if you ever get that deadly “CHECK ENGINE” light on your car, instead of taking to mechanic and bring a beer and ill tell you whats wrong. it is fairly easy to scan and you can punch in the code in this little gadget and it will tell you what is exactly wrong some time its very minor thing which if you are a little bit handy you can do it yourself. if you are not handy atleast you will know that oxygen sensor is $50 instead of whopping $350 at mechanic shop ( again i know that $350 includes labor too but its fairly easy you can youtube it)

    Either it does not work with Toyota (2010) or it doesn’t work as in the manual
    The reader hooks up to my Toyota Sienna (2010) fine and it immediately powers up. The start menu shows up; but diagnosis does not proceed as in the manual – there is no option to select the make of the vehicle to reference the error codes. It reset the warning lights (VSC, Check Engine) fine; but no further diagnosis seems to be available. I am returning the reader and will reorder one that’s JOBD-compliant. I don’t think the description (even on manufacturer’s website) is clear what (if any) Japanese manufacturer(s) it can work with. But this is an upgrade to the old DOS-PC-based OBD reader I have been using!

    BUY IT
    I thought this tool would be B.S lol but I was surprised and gave it 5 stars. I hah OTR diagnostic and Premium Tech Tool for my Volvo and this is all you really need to be an owner op on the road !!Forced Regen function 💯Clear all codes💯Change max speed and max cruise speed 💯Compression cut out test 💯Injector cut out test 💯No subscription for 2 yrs💯All in all a very great deal for the price considering jpro and other dealer diagnostics are thousands of you don’t already have a computer etc…

    Pros:- Setup is quick and easy. You basically follow the instructions on the colour LCD screen. The screen is clear and easy to read. You can download the right software via wi-fi for any truck you want to use it with, and it seems to have wide support for different types of vehicles.- It provides a full array of diagnostic and maintenance tools for troubleshooting and code resetting, letting you take care of smaller problems without needing a dealer visit. Definitely has saved me quite a bit of money so far, making it a worthwhile investment.- The live data graphs feature is super useful for in depth diagnostics and detecting issues before they mess you up during actual active use when it’s least convenient.- It has a screenshots feature so you can record any data for later reference or forwarding to your mechanic.- Supports an active/forced DPF regeneration feature that lets you restore your filtering capacity manually, again without needing a visit to a dealer.Cons:- None.Current title: LAUNCH CRP129 HD Heavy Duty Truck Scanner, DPF Regen, Full System Diesel Diagnostic Scan Tool Speed Limit Adjust 7+ Reset Service Commercial Code Reader for Heavy Truck Pickup Tractor Semi-Trucks

    I picked this up for checking codes on heavier trucks and it’s done exactly what I hoped. The layout is super straightforward, diagnose, reset, regen, all the main stuff right up front. It boots up quick, and doesn’t take much fiddling around. Used it on a Freightliner and a GMC 3500 so far, and it had no issue pulling codes or running a regen.The screen’s smalled sizes but easy to read, even outside. Real downside is the controls can feel a bit clunky if you’re used to touchscreen scanners, but nothing that’s a dealbreaker. It’s not some crazy deep shop tool, but it covers more than enough for most heavy duty troubleshooting and resets. Definitely useful to keep in the truck.

    1. I was excited to have a Launch tool that could do both automotive and Heavy Duty trucks. Currently use Launch to do automotive diagnostics, and am quite happy with it.2. This one came with all the adapters needed to connect to automotive and HD trucks3. The tool is relatively small, with a tiny 2”x3 3/8” screen.4. I first tried Launch on my vehicles. While it was able to find the VIN, it popped up the note: “Sorry, car model software (VW) download failed. Please check the network or login status, or download again in the Upgrade Center.”a. There is no uploads for automotive. Only HD trucks5. In the Library of DTC codes, I played around a bit, and it asked me to verify the vehicle manufacturer. It populated all automotive manufacturers. So why can’t it connect to my car and van??6. When I went into the HD OBD, I was able to access my VW, and it showed I had 2 DTC’s. It also listed the ignition as Spark, when it is Compression (diesel). I could not access the DTC. It got hung up on “In Process, Please Wait” I had to end the session after several minutes of waiting.7. I tried to access my van, but similar story, even though it’s a Chevrolet.8. I tried Launch to access a new Freightliner with an unknown code.a. It took forever to find it. I had to individually search through each module before I found it, and it came up with a 1894 code, VGT actuator driver circuit. When I go check the DTC library, I am not able to find this code since there is no letter prefix to this code9. I took several screenshots during the process, but there is no home screen icon for screen shots. I ended up finding them buried in Settings/Data.10. I then used it on another Freightliner with ABS light on in the driver’s display. Thankfully this time (after updating maybe?) Launch checked all the modules on its own. It took 12 minutes mind you, but it did. It did not pull up an ABS code, but a TPM code SPN 241. I pressed the arrow keys to try scroll through the list to find the ABS module, but I was not able to navigate through the modules. The OK button did nothing. I forget if I pressed the home button or the return button, but it asked if I wanted to leave the vehicle or continue. When I pressed “continue” it started back at the beginning to start the 12 minute search of all modules. Frustrated, I disconnected and packed up the Launch.11. This product is a failure (possibly I got a lemon?).a. It cannot access automotive vehicles, even though it has the icon to do it. It lists no automotive vehicle in the upgrade section, so I’m not sure if this machine actually is actually OBDII compatible, despite having a Library to search OBDII codes.b. The library was not able to help me with HD OBD codes.c. I found out that my car had 2 DTC’s in the HD OBD. Strange. But I was not access them.d. The Launch is ridiculously slow. 12 minutes to scan the Freightliner! And then to not even find the ABS code! Or not even able to access the ABS module to select it individually or anything like that. Completely unacceptable.12. While the product itself is a failure, it should be noted that it does comes with a nice carry case.

    I have years of experience with bad scanners. I always find the screens are the weakest point and I am left navigating through multiple screens to get the information I need. This scanner has a bigger screen than I am used to which makes it great for collecting multiple pieces of information at once.The initial setup is simple as you simply click through a few screens and you’re up and running. This is a fairly intuitive design and you’ll be able to get up and running in a few minutes. Unlikely every other scanner I have used this one has wifi so it can update itself! I appreciate this feature as it allows them to take care of bugs as they are discovered.Overall this is a simple and straightforward scanner. It worked as expected on all of my Cats and John Deere gear. More limited options to clear codes on the JD. Very cool, worth the cost of admission.
