Great bmw scanner
Used this to read a couple used BMW in the area. It’s cheaper than an inspection and able to ready virtually every module a BMW has. Saw this nice bmw with 14k miles and even that had some faults in certain areas found only by the scanner. Helps in terms of negotiating as well, worth the investment for scanning and even has functions for coding and personalization by all the popular modules built in. Note that this scanner is specific to BMW MINI ROLLS ROYCE only.

Works as needed has been usefull in diagnosing my car multiple times
Works very well with my MY 2006 E90 BMW. It scans quickly unless you update any of the components, the the scan will be in depth and take quite some time, like 20 mins instead of 4 mins. Price was good for what it is able to do.

Lots of Functionality, Great Value, UI Not User Friendly
Bought this because my older BMW diagnostic unit (Bimmer Geeks) didn’t work with the new car. Has all the diagnostic and maintenance/activation functions, excellent value, but the UI is not intuitive. Great product if you do your research and are comfortable with BMW DME/computer functions.

I received a USED AND NON WORKING DEVICE
$170 for what’s advertised to be a NEW scanner….. received an already opened one (box looked overly-handled so already knew before opening it) with fingerprint smudges and scratches on the screen, plastic protective layer already gone….. plug it in and it doesn’t even turn on…. Waiting on my replacement and maybe a partial refund due to now waiting an additional 2 days and wasting today by already planning to use it… HOPEFULLY I’LL GET A BRAND NEW ONE AS ADVERTISED THAT HAS’NT BEEN USED/returned – THAT ACTUALLY WORKS…. I’ll update this review if things are made right8-5-25As of 3-5-26 the replacement has stopped working…..it lasted a whole 7 months…. Ridiculous

Very straight forward to read the diagnosis of your scans! Tells you in plain English the issues!
I had a very unique problem with my 2013 BMW X5M nobody could figure out? I used several different code scanners and OBD2 readers with no defined results. I finally bought this on a whim and I’m very happy I did! Works amazing, found the issues immediately and tells you in plain English what the problem is… You can also email the exact results to your mechanic! If you are looking for an affordable code scanner for your BMW I recommend this one highly! I’ve used similar priced Ancel and Foxwell units and this is much better in the price range.

This scanner connects easily and is easy to use and understand. The software’s functionality in this unit will access the internet and bring up related articles and You Tube videos to help with repairing and remediating the diagnostic codes generated by the control units in the vehicle. This is where is falls very short. I imagine this unit’s target consumer is the DIY’er who is interested in the overall health and operability of their BMW. I think it is a major oversight and failing of the manufacturer to not include speakers so you can listen to audio from the videos in the search results generated. I find use Google Lens to take a picture of the suggested video so I can watch it on my iPhone. A speaker built into this scanner would alleviate these additional steps this saving time for its user.
