  1. Jay

Works perfectly!! Flash / Reads / Logs! Plug & Play !!!
After nearly a year of hunting for an authentic Tactrix cable, I finally took a chance on this Washingless K-CAN clone — and I’m here to say: it works!Vehicle: 2005 Subaru STI (EJ257, USDM 32-bit ECU)Software: EcuFlash v1.44.4870 (© 2004-2016 Tactrix)A few key points since there’s so much misinformation about these clones:✅ The original Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 drivers work out of the box, plug-and-play.🚫 I did not use the seller’s drivers.⚡ Reads, flashes, and logs flawlessly: over 20 revisions tested so far.🧩 No connection drops, no “bricking,” and yes, I was connected to the internet the whole time.💻 Windows didn’t prompt for any driver updates or security warnings. In my opinion, this is effectively a Tactrix cable without the branding. I fully support the real Tactrix team and would happily buy direct, but these days the genuine units are unicorns or marked up to double MSRP.If you just need a reliable cable to tune, flash, or log your Subaru, this one delivers. I even included a short demo video for anyone still on the fence.

    Failed after 3rd use
This product failed after being used 3 times. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money getting the real tactrix cable.

Worked on my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX
Can confirm that I was able to read and write to the ECU on my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX.The packaging comes with a link to a website to download the drivers and software you will need. The link didn’t work, but scanning the QR code on the packaging got me to the right download location. To start the download, click on the big screenshot image. It’s a bit weird but the download should start.Definitely uninstall any existing version of EcuFLash that you may have installed already before installing the software.Reading the existing ROM image on my ECU was quite easy. Make sure you unmarry any existing ECU tuning software that may have locked it (Cobb AccessPort etc.)Writing back to the ECU was more difficult. I kept encountering the “Programming voltage is 4.2v – too low” error message. To get around this, I boosted the voltage by running a 12v wire from the fuse box to the red and white wire that runs to the white 4 pin reflash block. I then did the normal reflashing procedure (connect green diagnostic mode connectors together, connect white 4 pin flash block jumper) and it worked fine.

    Works with EcuFlash/RomRaider
Worked perfectly on my 2008 Impreza 2.5i. This cable works with Ecuflash right out of the package, I did not have to use their drivers. Seems to be a copy of the name brand cable that is no longer available, so I figured I would give this one a try and it worked immediately with no extra hassle messing with drivers. It was nice that it came with the USB to Mini USB cable as well as not a lot of people will have those laying around anymore.

  5. dfuser

High Quality, fast shipping and great value!
Great value and packaged well. Delivered fast and on time. Met and exceeded all my expectations. Will buy again. worked like the real deal.

  6. SUSAN DAHL

    Actually Worked Great.
Awesome, Hooked up and loaded the drivers from Tactrix 2.0 and worked perfect. Delivered in 24hrs.

  7. John

You can try your luck with a knock off
Did not work for Open-source tuning my 2002 WRX, it could datalog with RomRaider, but no ECU flash capabilities.

  8. BLD

Could not get to work in my Volvo
Could not get to work in my 2014 Volvo. Had to return this and resort to plan B, which was much more expensive. Maybe it will work for you.

  9. Justin Lamirande

As of right now I have successfully logged and flashed my 2020 STI so I can say it works

  10. Makkers

Bought this as the specific / recommended OBDI adapter needed for tuning / accessing the ECU on a Mazda MX5 NC(MK3) was no longer sold. A lot of people warn of these knock offs than the known genuine one but I’ve had 0 issues with this, been working perfectly fine.

  11. Kyle Ferguson

Ignore all other reviews. This cable works flawlessly following supplied instructions. You MUST use a VM and must not use the cable with internet connected windows or try to update drivers without sellers info.If you are looking to update the ECU – it may be possible, but don’t be an idiot buy a mongoose/real tactrix, more expensive for a reason – so you don’t brick your car.Based on the functions working fine I would test it on programming but not worth the risk imo.I have tried many cables and this is the only one that gives me full functionality and data reading of all systems on my Toyota.

  12. Scott Truax

So I ordered this and followed every step. Made sure I was offline and used the software that was given to me. It worked for a day, plugged it back in to load a tune on my Subaru, the color of the open port turned Orange and that was it. Won’t work anymore. For 69$ more get the real thing.

  13. unndf

Cable doesn’t work, link to drivers provided doesn’t work either.Updated the review it’s not completely the sellers fault. After more research you NEED to use the sellers provided drivers, otherwise you will brick the cable when using ECUFLASH. The makers of ECUFLASH kill any aftermarket cables when used with their drivers which is unfortunate because they do not sell the product on Amazon. The seller will message you with link to drivers (which I did not see), do not install the any tuning software from tractix and remove any of their drivers. When using do not connect to the Internet as the software phones home to kill cables.Honestly the sellers included instructions should be clearer but the product does work
