I have a bunch of DEWALT 20v batteries so I bought this to throw in my tool bag that I keep in my Polaris when off roading . Just incase someone runs the stereo to long while on a water break .. first time out with it and sure enough had to jump my buddies car and it worked perfect .. light weight and compact so it doesn’t take up a lot of room .. great idea .

Potentially useful but proceed with extreme caution
I was initially excited about this jumper cable adapter for my DeWalt 20V batteries – the concept is clever and could be a real lifesaver in emergencies. However, after opening the package, my son immediately warned me about reports of these types of adapters damaging expensive DeWalt batteries. His concern prompted me to do more research online, and unfortunately, I found enough troubling reports to make me very hesitant to actually use this product.The build quality appears decent – the cables feel substantial and the adapter seems well-constructed. The instructions are straightforward, and I can see how this would be convenient to have in your vehicle if you already carry DeWalt batteries for work. The price point is reasonable for what you’re getting – at the time of this review it’s listed at $22.99 with a 5% coupon available, so, quite affordable and would be amazing if you were stranded and this helped. I’m uncomfortable giving a rating on a product that, after arriving, I find that I’m also even more uncomfortable putting to use because….Here’s my dilemma: modern vehicles have complex electronic systems that are sensitive to power irregularities, and DeWalt batteries aren’t designed for automotive jump-starting applications. The potential risk of damaging a $100+ battery, or worse, causing issues with your vehicle’s electronics, makes me very uncomfortable using this under normal circumstances.I’m keeping it in my emergency kit as an absolute last resort option – if I’m truly stranded with no other alternatives and the risk is worth it. But for regular use? I’d stick with a traditional jump starter or jumper cables.The product might work fine, but the stakes are too high when you’re dealing with expensive batteries and modern car electronics. Buyer beware and do your research before using.
