Works great and easy to install
I have an always open air 4dr Jeep Wrangler, since it is open and subjected to the weather, the OBDII port has had its fair share of corrosion and was not reading properly. This connector came with all the wires/pins but I only needed 5, the unused pins were easy to remove and the installation went smoothly (make sure you cut and connect one at a time as mine had factory wires that were the same color and the power wire is live). I used heat shrink butt connectors (purchased here) to make sure that they are waterproof.

Does what I need. I removed the pin lock and pressed tabs on pins to remove extra. Now have extra to repair other things. Reinstalled lock and it’s now part of my 2nd bench harness.

The cable and the connector worked well. I had ordered a different one that turned out not to fit and ordered this one the second go around. The wires are on this one are heavier gauge than the other one I had, easier to strip and follow back to the connector.
