Works well with my Mercedes
I was skeptical at first because of high return rate per Amazon but works on my Mercedes so it’s a keeper for sure. First thing I did is update the unit using my PC. Once connected with the car, everything works as expected.

Good choice in a huge selection of code readers
First, this really is the same as the MB ii v 2.0. Same 3 brand choices when you turn it on (MB/Smart/Sprinter). Upgrades available on the website.I looked at lots and lots of choices, really wanted something that would handle a lot of cars, not just MB. In the end, I wanted something reasonably priced that would handle as much as possible for the Benz. In my 2013 E350, it found 22 different subsystems it could read. Very nice. For my Wrangler JK, it won’t do anything–didn’t even read some error codes I knew were up on the computer at the time. So, great for MB, not good for other cars.For those looking for transmission temperature (to do the fluid/filter service yourself), this one has it.I think for the price, you’ll have a hard time finding a code reader that has as many features.

Does exactly what it should and easy to update.
I have used this on several diff Mercedes with no issues at all. Some of the issues I see described are what I also get when I try to scan a car that I mistakenly misidentify in the menu or when I scan a car that this scanner is not advertised to scan.The scanner is well thought out also as far as issues. The actual program the scanner operates from is on a micros SD in the bottom. I had an issue with a boot error and all there is to is is format the SD card and download the icarsoft tool to reload the program. It knows what program (ie which manufacturer/years) from the scanners serial number and ID number. It took less than 10 mins to have it back running.ALSO… When I reloaded my scanner there was a newer version that I received it with so if you have issue with anything I would first make sure you are running the latest software revision.

It will not support Mercedes Benz 2004 CLK 500 Coupe W209
The web-site stated it will support Mercedes Benz 2004 CLK 500 W209 but it did not. Just wanted to let everyone know that before buying the scan make sure it will work on your car. I had my old iCarsoft model CR Plus and it works on my car. I want to get a new upgrade but this one did not work so I return it.

Yes, you have to scroll through screens, but…
…not as cumbersome as some reviews made it sound. Really saved me hundreds of dollars, as mice got into several different wiring spots that were not so obvious, like under the driver’s seat. Also used it when we went to buy a used Sprinter. Identified several historical faults, and the seller had the receipts to show that they had been repaired.
