A Great Starter Tablet for Beginners and Casuals!!!
I am very impressed by this little table, I purchased the small tablet since I am just using it for casual things. The packaging was really nice, even though it doesn’t have a screen the lid of the box still had some form padding.Clean and sleek design, easy to understand instructions, they also have more information and instructions on their store page.Only criticisms are I had to go to the store page for the software downloads and I did not receive the 8 extra pen nibs. For the price (I got it on sale too) and that is works so well, it is definitely a recommend Starting Drawing Tablet or beginners or casuals!

    Cure for Winter Boredom
Honestly I got this to find something to help with the seasonal depression, bought it on sale for about $30 and it’s been worth every cent (and helpful!). It’s easy to use, with a bit of learning and adjusting settings and figuring things out, but it works beautifully. The smaller size is perfect, not too small at all. 10/10 best $30 purchase I’ve made in a while

5 star hardware, 3 star software.
If you’re a windows user I’ll assume the software is fine and this is a 5 star product. On the Linux side… Out of the box it works great. Wayland has settings for mapping the input to the current screen, a specific screen, all screens, mapping the buttons of the pen. But no mapping of the buttons on the tablet itself. When running the software supplied by HUION the buttons on the tablet do whatever I want. YAY! and the input is mapped to the left third of the screen…. What?My only real nit pick is that I wish the pen had some shape to it. I find that the buttons magically rotate in my hand while using it. I would prefer a slight triangle shape and perhaps a bit more definition on the pen buttons.Second, and minor, nit pick is on sensitivity. I find it impossible to touch the surface at anything between 1% and 40%. This is not a real issue as software settings can easily compensate for this. 100% force is about what I would expect. And just for completeness, plugged it into my android. It works as well as you would expect. The system sees it as a keyboard and then blocks the osk from showing up. Once again the problem is software implementation not hardware. For what it is, for this tablet’s position in the market, I would easily recommend it to someone that’s looking for a starter tablet.

After some surface area customization, this tablet is a great tool!!!
I have wanted a pen tablet for years (decades?), but have never worked up the courage or money to try a brand like Wacom. This was the perfect gateway device and the price was a steal for what it’s provided. Most of my work is either in video editing (Davinci Resolve, After Effects, Final Cut Pro) or Photoshop and the Huion Inspiroy H950P has worked wonders for the latter. I had started to develop mouse arm, so this was a welcomed relief.Out of the box, the tablet was easy to setup, but immediately, I needed to adjust the dimensions/screen size for the tablet, since the pen worked all the way to the edges, not allowing for any space to test my hand.It takes some time to acclimate to the way a pen tablet represents your entire screen, especially having used mouses, trackpads, and track balls for decades (which require you to reset your physical hand placement when you’ve moved too far), but with the borders wrangled in a bit, this tablet is amazing and has increased workflow.I don’t use the shortcut buttons as often as I should, since I still like the heavier tactile feeling of my laptop’s keyboard, but the ability to customize each button to pretty much any command you need is useful.I would have preferred a USB-C plug instead of micro USB, since micro USB plugs loosen over time, but that’s a small complaint for what is a very useful, affordable tablet. I highly recommend it at this time…!

    Great upgrade and first tablet!
Edit:In September of last year, my Insproy’s buttons stopped responding while I was working on a project. I uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, I tried other USB ports, and… nothing. They worked one minute, then didn’t work the next. Additionally, between April and the first 2 weeks of August, I didn’t have access to my PC, and I was not using the tablet. So I used it during February, March, and the last part of August. Probably 3 months. The tablet was purchased Feb 7 of the same year. I sent off a support request, as it was within warranty, and I got back a response that I had sent the request to the wrong team. I was directed to the proper place for a support request, submitted a new one and… Never heard back. I took to Twitter and asked for assistance. Here we are, in July of 2020, and I have heard NOTHING. I know this was only a $50 tablet, but this kind of non-response to an issue makes me concerned to even think about dropping the $400 on a screen tablet. Due to the non-response, until Huion can give me a good reason why support was ignored, I’m reducing this to a one-star review. And I’m also back to using my old workhorse of an Intuos 3. Which, after getting some replacement nibs, hasn’t given me a lick of trouble. And has an eraser on the pen.Original review below:I’ve been using Wacom tablets since 2001. I started on a Graphire, and moved up to the Intuos, then the Intuos 3 (purchased as an open box, during a red-themed electronics retailer’s bankruptcy sale), where I stayed for 10 years. But I wanted more sensitivity than my Intuos 3 offered, so I began researching. Between reports from trusted friends and other folks online, I was wary about returning to Wacom, as it seems like the 3 was the last actually durable tablet. And their pricing is still out of reach of many people, especially hobby artists. I have a dog and a 2 year old, I can’t have expensive and fragile. At the recommendation of several artist peers, I looked at Huion’s offerings. While I would still like to get one of the screen tablet options, I’m really happy with this H640P! The only downside, and I can’t knock off a star for it, is the lack of an eraser. Almost 20 years of muscle memory keep making me flip the pen over, but I’m adjusting to having mapped the eraser hot key for my art program to one of the tablet’s buttons. The fact I can actually USE those buttons, instead of them being accidentally triggered by my hand resting on them (as I’m left handed) and having to keep them disabled is a huge plus. One thing I would like to see in the future, as a nice to have, is a longer USB cable included. This one is about half the length of my Intuos 3. But again, this isn’t necessary, as my computer’s front I/O is very near me, so I can’t justify removing a star. But it is a thing to let folks know about.

Really great, well-functioning on the go tablet! I had little problems setting it up and installing the relevant drivers. Drawing was generally pretty easy from the get-go since the tablet automatically calibrates to the resolution of your display monitor. Pressure sensitivity was definitely evident and well adjusted to the amount of pressure I placed on the drawing tablet. Pen does not need batteries or recharging and comes with a ton of extra nibs, which is a bonus! Express keys are responsive and easy to customise. Overall, this is a good beginner tablet to buy and will work particularly well as a mobile accessory for people working on laptops.

This was my first digital drawing tablet and I have to say I’m blown away. I got the H950P, it comes with Android device adapters, tablet cable, extra pen nibs, pen stand, a pen that doesn’t need to be charged which has 2 keys of its own, and the tablet which has 8 mappable keys. I use Krita as my main drawing application and managed to pick it up within half an hour. The tilt support is awesome, it’s a good sensitivity to pressure, and the working space is big enough to be comfortable. I would recommend getting a glove with it or putting some fabric under your hand for cleaner lines (so your hand doesn’t stick to it) but other than that the whole thing is awesome. It was also incredibly easy to setup and map the keys. Definitely recommend.
