Fantastic specialized tool serves its purpose well
This is a fantastic specialized tool. It has sharp edges like a knife, but is heavy enough to dig. It has a full tang and solid construction. I find it particularly useful for digging narrow holes in hard soil, and for dividing dense root mats. I take it camping and leave the survival knife at home. This tool does it all and better. Its heavy, but that’s a consequence of being so rugged and able to handle prying and digging in hard soil. We’ll see if use dulls the edges, and if so, whether they can be resharpened. I would think so. Overall this is a high quality item that serves a specific purpose better than any other tool I’ve seen. For that purpose, its an A+

Above and beyond
Japanese gardeners came up with a fantastic product for gardening. This baby is not only great for gardening but for whatever the need you come up with. The quality is first class and the shieth is beautiful. Balance is nice and feels like it will last forever. As a woman I appreciate the craftsmanship and good looks. It’s not too heavy but just right for any person and outside job. I 😘 💕 love it and got one for a gift for a woman. Trust me you will be surprised with this product. I will be purchasing more for gifts for my gardening/camping family.

Fantastic build quality and should last
Way better than expected.This is an amazing hand shovel and is extremely sharp on either side, makes cutting through roots and other things extremely simple.It seems extremely well made and I absolutely love the wooden handle. With love and care I believe it’s going to be a generational tool to be passed down. I wanted something that was a sharp, tool/weapon on some of the jobs that I’m at where they don’t allow a knife but they allow tools… I have to dig around gas risers for a living and this thing is an absolute beast.The scabbard is just a very plain basic nylon sheath and will probably have a custom leather sheath made.Again this is a very durable heavy strong built hand digging tool that is going to last a lifetime.One of my best purchases I’ve made all year.

Heavy duty and SO useful around the yard and gardens.
Solid tool, sturdy and well made. Nice holster as well. This has become my go to garden tool. Holds an edge and is great for digging, transplanting, cutting, chopping and so many of the usual needs around the home and garden. Highly recommended.

Sturdy and useful
Well made and sturdy. I have used this week to dig holes in very tough soil and it worked beautifully. I even used the blade and serrated edge to remove the roots of a dead lavender plant. It never felt flimsy or wobbly.

Good garden tool
Good sturdy knife, works well in the garden, but it could be sharper. It’s a rather dull blade, even on the parts that should be sharp, but the heft and solid build make this worth owning.

The garden tool I never want to be without.
This is such a great tool! Our neighbors who lived in Nicaragua told us about their gardener who had a Hori Hori knife and used it for everything, like an extension of their arm. Planting bulbs, opening bags of soil, cutting twine, weeding, prying bricks into place, loosening soil, it’s so useful! And this particular one is SHARP! (learned that the hard way! X-( ), the blade is sturdy and the handle is full tang. It’s got a nice girth that fits well in my hand in addition to being fairly beautiful. It comes with a sturdy sheath that hangs faithfully on my garden bag. It may sound silly but I have never been so enamored with a garden tool. This one deserves my full respect.

Incredible versatile, quality tool
Wow. Just wow. This tool is heavy and incredibly well made. It comes with a heavy canvas sheath with a belt loop. I do wish it had a clip but I love it so much I don’t care. It digs, it saws, it cuts. Easy to sharpen. I carry it everywhere and use it every time I’m in the garden. I honestly don’t know what I ever did without it. I was initially reluctant because of the price. It’s worth every penny. This is the kind of tool that will be used for decades.
