This compact hand held sewing machine is great to have around. I’ve never used any type of sewing machine before this but now I’ve made curtains, fixed my son’s baseball uniform, and been having fun practicing using the machine by stitching funny words into old pillow cases. I’m happy I purchased this.

This handheld sewing machine is a nice size for mending clothes. It’s a nice set with thread and a seam ripper. There are large scissors included as well.

must to have tool in the house
I picked this up mainly for quick fixes and loose hems, missing buttons, little rips in pillowcases and it’s come in handy more times than I thought. The handheld sewing machine is easy to use once you get the hang of threading it, and I like that I can either plug it in or use batteries depending on where I am. The wooden box it comes with is actually quite nice and keeps everything organized, which is great because I tend to misplace small tools. The sewing kit is packed with all kinds of extras, different thread colors, scissors, needles, even a tape measure. I’ve used it to patch jeans and do some light sewing on canvas bags, and it handled both without jamming. The only tiny issue is that the machine can be a bit tricky on thicker fabric and you have to go slow and guide it carefully. But overall, it’s been a really practical tool to have around the house.

Super nice wood storage box but with engraved typos, all the essential sewing supplies
Overall, I really like this handy sewing kit. It comes with everything you need to get started sewing, and it’s super convenient having everything you need for quick mending or sewing jobs in one place. The wooden storage box is lovely but unfortunately, multiple typographical errors were made when they engraved the top. It says. to the best I can decipher, “Tem6n6ew call be betler”. I think it was supposed to say “Tomorrow will be better” … heh. Anyways, the wooden storage box is solid wood with a lovely pine scent when you open it. The outside is nicely finished (despite the typos). The box’s inside is unfinished bare wood but nicely sanded. The handheld sewing machine is exactly what I expected (having owned these types of machines before) and stitches very evenly and with excellent tension. It comes with a nice selection of threads, needles, pins, a pin cushion, and assorted other sewing items all of reasonably decent quality. The scissors are better quality than I expected. They have a good weight/heft to them, are very sharp and cut evenly.Overall, this handheld sewing machine kit works great, is super convenient and a good value. Despite the typos, I’m really happy with it.
