Purchased this unit for my Volvo. Mainly wanted it for battery registration. But it has many other useful functions. Worked just fine to register my battery. Scanned many systems. It did well and is a good addition to my toolbox.Just don’t expect much from support. They lost a star for lack of decent support. Had an issue with connecting to WiFi. Called and spoke to Matt. Not very helpful. Didn’t seem very knowledgeable about the product. Resolved my issue on my own.

Buy the one that has all of the automotive makes! I bought this for my Volvo V50 and found out that it will not work on any other car! The spiel was i could download 5? other cars. For $70 a pop!!!

Super Disappointing
Super disappointing. 2022 Volvo XC90. I bought the tool to read the temp on the transmission fluid for a change (it does do that) to release the EPB for rear brakes (it won’t do that) and the BMS reset for battery replacement (won’t do that either). Only “service” option is to reset the oil service light, which one can do without the tool by following a certain procedure. Yes, I am using it correctly with the ignition on, it’s updated, etc.Fortunately I was able to follow a certain procedure to release the EPB (check YouTube) so was able to get that job done.Waste of money! Super disappointed with the purchase!

Easy to use. Really complete
I have used the nt530 on a 2009 Camry, a 2014 Volvo xc60, and a 2018 Volvo s60. I used it to test systems while completely rebuilding the Camry for my daughter. It did everything I needed it to do on the CamryOn the Volvos there was a great deal more available from the car. I have access to all of the systems and resets an advanced diy hobbyist has any business working on in their garage. I was unhappy with the pedal pressure after a brake job on the s60. Without the device it seemed like there was a catching caliper or air in the antilock that bleeding was getting out. I bought the nt530 to purge the air from the system. It does not have an automatic bleed function but it did allow me to open and close each valve and trigger the brake booster manually. It took a long time manually but it got the job done a valve at a time. Post purge the device allowed me to watch brake pressures and caliper temperatures to check for function. That’s more a function of Volvos software but I was very thankful this device had access to obd 1, 2, and 3 as well as access to the CAN bus. Money very well spent. The only reason I gave this tool a 4 is that the documentation lead me to believe it could auto purge air from the abs when in fact that requires another dedicated device.Like every other diagnostic tool, this device will not tell you what to repair, just what is out of spec or not talking.
