Battery health check measures voltage, state of health (SOH), internal resistance, and state of charge (SOC). A static voltage reading below 12.4V suggests a battery that is undercharged or aging.

Cranking Test

Analyze battery health status by detecting the voltage and time when engine cranking. If the cranking voltage is lower than 9V, it means that the battery is unable to provide sufficient starting power

Charging Test

Evaluate whether the working status of the car generator and charging system is normal by detecting the loaded/no-load voltage, ripple of charging. For 12V vehicle systems, the normal charging voltage is between 13.5V and 14.8V

Why does the code come back after I remove it?

It depends on your car’s model and year, NT510Pro supports all the available special functions the vehicle allows. If the car model does not support certain reset maintenance functions, NT510pro will also be unable to perform them.

What is the recommended time to perform battery testing?

Wait at least 10 minutes after shutdown before battery testing. The vehicle’s electrical system needs time to discharge, or you may get a reading that’s temporarily too high.

Can the positive and negative poles be reversed during battery testing ?

No, and you need to connect the positive pole first and then the negative pole, otherwise there may be sparks.
