Commercial-Grade Accuracy for 12V & 24V Batteries – Featured by Project Farm, the FOXWELL BT705 battery tester delivers ultra-precise SOH, SOC, and CCA readings using advanced conductance technology, accurately diagnosing battery, starter, and alternator systems in one test. Designed to reduce costly misdiagnosis, it helps prevent unnecessary $200+ battery replacements or alternator repairs. Compatible with AGM, EFB, Flooded, and Start-Stop batteries, the BT705 is trusted by serious DIYers and professional technicians who need dependable results.
Complete Battery, Cranking & Charging Test – Giving you a clearer idea of your vehicle’s electrical condition before replacing parts or getting stranded with a dead battery. The automotive battery load tester checks battery health, starter cranking performance, and alternator charging output in one test, helping you quickly identify common issues such as a weak battery, poor starting performance, or abnormal charging output.
Stable Diagnostics Even in Extreme Cold – Many battery testers produce unreliable readings when temperatures drop, but this car battery tester keeps its results stable even below 0°F. Powered by advanced conductance analysis, it accurately evaluates SOH, SOC, and CCA while checking the battery, starter, and alternator in one test. For quick decisions, the BT705 also provides clear GOOD / REPLACE / CHARGE guidance, so you can immediately know whether your battery still has life left or truly needs replacement.
Bigger Screen, Clearer Answers – The enlarged 2.8″ display shows battery test results clearly at a glance—even in dim garages. The simple interface makes navigation easy, so you can quickly view battery health and test results without scrolling through complicated menus. With the extended diagnostic cable, you can run tests right from the driver’s seat—no second person needed.
Built for Reliable Everyday Testing – Equipped with a 2.8″ LCD screen, 5.9 ft extended cable, and durable copper clamps, the car battery and alternator tester is designed for stable and convenient testing. Just connect the clamps and get results in seconds—no apps or phones required. Great battery tester
I was a little concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, but the positives out weighed it making my decision to purchase this. It is very nice unit, and better than I thought. I had 4 batteries to test and this performed flawlessly. I looked several other testers, but this one is very easy to use.

Knowledge is power & savings.
Money well spent so much that I am going to get a second one. I saw this used in project farms video where he was trying to salvage old batteries and allowed him to check the overall health of the battery. This did exactly what I needed with no nonsense and relative ease of use. It let me know the health of a battery that was in question which was not in good health at all. As a bonus it confirmed the alternator was putting out good voltage and was healthy. What a relief to know I didn’t need to spend almost 400 bucks on an oem alternator for a specific Japanese auto brand and just needed a $200 quality battery to solve the issue.

Almost 5 Stars
Let me begin by saying I’m a DIYer. There are so many battery anylizers and testers available it begs the question which one to pick. Below is my list of Pros and Cons for this tester are:Pros:1 – The tester itself feels like its made of good quality materials.2 – Its larger and gives you the industrial feel.3 – The buttons are easy to work and the software is easy to follow.4 – The length of the test leads is awesome.5 – The storage case is durable and will protect the tester foreverCons:1 – The bluetooth printer feature only connects to the foxwell printer. (I assumed it would connect to any bluetooth printer)2 – It only stores that last test. I have read that other testers will store the last 50 to 100 tests. This would’ve been nice.3 – The price is a little high for what you are getting compared to the others on the market. I dont think the extra lead length and the case are worth double the price.Testing Experience:1st test – my first test was on a car that is only driven for short trips and the battery is less than six months old. I expected the results to be that the battery needs to be charged. The tester reported the battery as bad and needed to be replaced. I charged the battery for the day and tested again. The tester changed its mind and said it was a good battery, the cranking was good and the charging system was good.2nd test – this test was completed on my daily commuter car. The test results were good battery needs to be charged . I had no expectations for this battery. I looked to be original, so it could’ve gone either way.3rd test – this test was completed on a marine battery (Engine Battery) that has been hooked up to a battery tender all winter. The test results returned a good battery4th test – this test was completed on another marine battery (House Battery) that has been on a battery tender all winter. This battery is rated for 600 CCA. The tester reported a good battery that measured 900 CCA. I’m not sure how this can be or if its safe or if the tester is wrong. If this could’ve printed to any bluetooth printer and if it could store more than just the last test i would’ve given it 5 stars. I have learned of some inconvenient work arounds for the cons that will work with any of the battery testers on the market. The only reason i gave it 4 stars is because of the length of the test leads. The length of the test leads is with a full start by themselves. The leads allow you to perform the test from the driver seat of the vehicle which is a huge convenience. If this tester only had the short leads like all the others I would’ve given it 3 stars and purchased a cheaper unit that does the samething.

Perfect addition to my tool chest
My old analog load tester died and I needed a replacement. I did my research and decided to try a digital battery analyzer. I had given a different model to one to a family member for Christmas a few years ago and they talked about how great it was and really helped them track and determine the optimum time to replace a few batteries that were going bad. After look at the competitors and reading over a dozen reviews, I decided to buy the Foxwell bt705. The reviews spoke to how it was rugged, easy to use, and had long leads to be able to operate it while inside the vehicle. I received the analyzer and I’ve used it to test 5 batteries. One battery I thought was surely ready to be replaced just needed to be charged. Another battery I was going to replace also had life in it so I’ll get by with not replacing it for probably another year. The biggest difference between the one I bought as a gift and this one is that this one will also test your starter and your alternator.I was able to take it out of the hard case it comes in, hook it up and test my batteries. The instruction booklet stayed in the pocket of the hard case. The on screen prompts tell you everything you need to test your battery, starter, and alternator. You can check your battery while it is connected in the car or you can check it while it is out of the car. The gift one had to be out of the car. I did have to do an internet search to find out what SOH and SOC were. Once I saw was it was, I felt stupid, but very happy that this provided those values. To recap, I think I got a great product at a reasonable price. It is super simple to use. The only negative for me is wrapping the cables back up and trying to close the hard case is difficult. I wish companies would figure out that if they made a hard case that had to posts, one at the top and one at the bottom that you could then wrap the cables around for storage it would be much easier than trying to wrap the cables to fit inside a specific area. So my only negative is about the hard case. Then again others don’t come in a hard case. Overall 5 stars all day long.

Starting test and load test can be done by one person sitting in their vehicle.
Great battery tester, so far. I was using a volt ohm meter and an older battery tester, load tester and voltmeter combo. The BT-705 battery analyzer is a perfect replacement. The tester is compact, solidly built and easy to use. I love that it also analyzes the alternator. The long cable allows the operator to test with the meter inside your vehicle. One person testing, no need for help. Great price for an excellent battery analyzer and super fast shipping. Also, the BT-705 comes in a very nice storage case. Don’t delay, buy today.
