Amazing little soldering iron! Works great!
Excellent little soldering iron. I used my Anker battery pack and it works absolutely fantastic! Simple and intuitive, heats up quickly and maintains temperature. Ranges from 212°F to 850°F. The iron and case are made of quality metal materials and the flip up iron holder is amazing! The solder feed system is excellent! So well designed! Great product, excellent value! Keep in mind, it does not have a battery of its own, but it does have a really nice USB-C cable and 100W plugin. Works great on the go with the right style battery bank.

Awesome
This is the 1st time I’ve used a tool like this. My use case is to inset nut serts in 3D prints. It works flawlessly. Takes a bit of trial and error on get the temp just right for the material. But that’s on me being a novice not the tool.

Another great product from Fnirsi
Another great product from Fnirsi. I’ve bought 3 of their other products outside of the Vine program and all of them preform great and represent a good value – the HS-02A is no different it’s another great tool from Fnirsi. What I like about the HS-02A and the brand in general.— As a Soldering Iron —• Uses C245 soldering tips there’s a variety of different shaped tips out there to match your work.• As a soldering iron is has a ground screw so you can may it ESD safe for working on boards.• Comfortable and controllable for extended use. I have a HS-02B as well which is the same expect it used C210 tips and I find myself using it more than my beanchtop soldering station just because it simple and quick to use.• Perfect for my tech tool bag for field work.— As a Heat Insert Setter —• The kit comes with a variety of tips from M2 to M8. I primarily use M3 heat inserts and it sets those perfectly with setting a +20C over filament melt temp. Once again the size and grip makes it easy to install the insert straight even without using a press.• The tips are good quality brass.— In General —• I’ve powered the HS-02A and HS-2B from a verity of power sources ranging from, 12v power supply, 30wPD ports, 65wPD power banks and 100w wall warts etc…. All with no problem.• The cases are great the hard-case is nice as it doubles as a hot holder/iron rest when in use, plus a tip cleaner and excess wipe. The only thing that would make the hard-case better would be a secure closure for transport – but when I toss it in my tool bag I just put a rubber band around it.• The UI like all Fnirsi product I find is easy to navigate and is logical. As a side note: Someone noted that you could not change from Celsius to Fahrenheit – to Change from C to F just go into the menu scroll to “System Set” then in “System Set” scroll down to “Unit Switch” change from “C” to “F” – now your unit will read in Fahrenheit if thats what you desire. There are also 3 memory slots for temp settings that stay in memory when the power is removed. Just go to “Handle Set” then to “Preset TEMP” here you can set your 3 temps to memory. (See attached photos)• Firmware is also easy updatable on Fnirsi products this is another great thing I like about the brand.• Fnirsi I feel offer great functionality with their products at a great price so I find great value in their products.

Great kit
I like how this comes with everything you need, all in on place. It’s more than just a heat-set insert tool; it performs well at being a general-purpose soldering iron, too.I have a much larger soldering iron which I rarely need to use, and this kit may wind up replacing that one entirely. Everything here is well-designed with efficiency in mind. I love designs that make the most of the space they have, and this kit is exactly like that. The hard case is filled with little details and storage areas that contain the essentials; it really is an all-encompassing soldering kit. For example, the metal holder/stand pivots up and is adjacent to a small area meant for wet sponge cleaning; there’s also a spool of soldering wire underneath the stand, with a tiny magnetic sliding door that makes it accessible even when the case is closed. The soldering iron itself is small and lightweight, but powerful, and intuitive to use. It’s not battery powered, so you’ll need to use the included USB-C cord and wall adapter to get started. Even these items are exceptionally high quality. There’s a hard shell case included here as well, giving you plenty of storage options, even if you have other supplies you want to use.Temperature selection is easy, and the unit heats up very quickly, although I’m not yet convinced this is accurate to actual temp at the tip. It’s not way off, but it seems like it takes some additional time for the tip to reach the temperature on the display. This is a great option for anyone who does 3D printing and uses heat-set inserts, but it’s also great for any DIYer in your life. Comprehensive sets like this are great for people like me, who don’t solder often, because it comes with everything you’d need, all in one place.Overall, I think this is a great kit that’s easy to use and intuitive, and I highly recommend it.

Worked great until it didn’t
Worked fine for about a week or so and then started to get stuck rebooting when I tried to heat it up from cold. Read online that I need to update the firmware and it might fix it. Tried to do that using my Macbook and now it seems it may be bricked. Later found out I needed to use a Windows computer, which I don’t own. I will try to find a Windows computer and attempt to fix this, but I can’t use it at all at the moment.Up to this point though, I really liked the product.
