This endoscope is a useful tool and comes with many different attachments to attach to the end of the endoscope to help tackle different problems. The wire is flexible but can hold its shape to help force itself through tighter spaces. The screen is pretty bad though and can be hard to see if you’re viewing it off axis.

Overall, good device for occasional user
This endoscope/borescope is a useful device for the average homeowner who would only need to use it occasionally. The price is reasonable enough to warrant buying for someone who will not need to use it often. I would not rate it a 5 because the screen is not that clear, the color rendition is not very good and the light on the end cannot be dimmed decently.Overall, the device is well made. Interestingly, it rates itself as waterproof but I assume that is referring to the scope and not the control/viewing box. The control box has a vent on the back that clearly will allow water to reach the circuit board so you would not want it to get wet.The HD screen gives a pretty good picture with optimal lighting and distance. However, much of the time I found the image was suboptimal due to being overly bright and at times seemed grainy and not sharp. The screen size is decent and you are able to zoom in on the picture which could be useful at times.The scope itself has a light on the end to illuminate dark places. The light was bright and in certain situations could work well. However, the light was not adequately dimmable. For some reason, the lowest dimming you could go to was 60% and then turns off completely. At 60%, the light was way too bright when you have a reflective background and this makes it hard to get a clear image. This also effects the color rendition of the picture. When it is real bright, the colors are washed out and not easily discernable.The few accessories in the box are useful. There is a small hook for picking up rings and such, a magnet to pick up metallic objects and a mirror for looking around sharp bends where you are unable to snake the scope up to for a adequate view.Again, even with its shortcomings, this scope is an affordable tool that could come in handy for the occasional needs of an average homeowner.
