Awesome product!!
I’m not an auto mechanic, but this item showed me some minor vehicle codes that didn’t need attention but would have cost me around $100 dollars if I had a garage do it… I used the when buying an older used vehicle and showed NO MAJOR ISSUES with the vehicle.

Jeep Owners Beware
Following instructions “precisely” this DND Echo would not connect properly, would not update, would not read my VIN even after entering it manually, it was unable to scan anything…Tried three times, redownloaded the app, registered the product and it will not work…I have a 2019 Jeep JL with OBD2…All this product did was plug in, light up, and when it did connect yo my Bluetooth, the light indicated it was connected…Go to the homepage and it says “connecting”….Once, it connected, started the upgrade or update, then stopped…It failed every attempt to work…Ordered a FIXED OBD2 Scanner and it worked just fine so, it isn’t me, it isn’t the vehicle, it’s the product.

Be careful when buying for use on cars made outside of America
Requires a 17 character VIN number to connect with the vehicle, however if your vehicle is made outside of the U.S some might only have a 13 or 11 VIN character…which is a challenge to communicate with the device to do enhanced diagnostic tests…regular obd scan generally works

Very capable scanner, good software
I just wanted something so I could read the codes if I get a check engine light or some other dash warning before I dragged it to a garage to fix it. This tool is probably way overkill for someone like me. It seems to do just about anything related to the computers in your car.I’m probably never going to delve into the details of more than a quarter of what this scanner does. It was easy enough to set up. Plug it into the port while the car is running, open the software, connect and perform whatever scan you want. The first time it went through series of upgrades and ‘repairs’, presumably for the software and for the firmware in the scanner. I let it do that 3 times at about 5-6 minutes each time before I got bored with that stuff.I backed out of the software updating screen and just told it to do a basic scan. It took about a minute to run through 17 systems and pulled up 6 error codes in there in 2 systems apparently. None of these codes had triggered the dash warning, so I don’t know how accurate they are, but I’ll ask about them next time I’m in a garage environment. It’s handy that it writes a report for the scan if you want. That way I can just show it to a tech to ask about them. There’s a way in there to search the codes to find out exactly what they mean, even linking out to a web search engine to explain them in detail, along with suggestions on how to fix them. Handy if you’re handy I guess. From what I can tell, this is a quality tool and it’ll probably be a great comfort as my car ages gracefully, or not, as the case may be.

User-Friendly
This Bluetooth adapter is an excellent tool that’s easy to use. It’s designed for those serious about cars, so it costs more than ordinary handheld scanners, but it’s worth it. I love the convenience of wireless checks, as I hate dealing with tangled cables. This device connected to my phone in seconds and paired quickly without any hassle. The OBD2 adapter scanner can swiftly diagnose car issues and provide helpful tips. The process is straightforward, the Bluetooth range is fantastic, and the app interface is sleek and logically designed. It begins pulling in all the details almost instantly, with valuable functions laid out clearly. It’s easy to add additional cars, compatible with anything made after 1996. It reads every code and offers solutions, making it extremely helpful and informative, especially if you don’t know much about cars. Plus, it’s convenient to store in any car corner.

Mixed feelings
I have tried numerous times to connect the device to my car. I’ve reinstalled the app so many times, I’ve entered my VIN number somehow many times I almost have it memorized. It just won’t connect. It has updated twice but still won’t connect to my car. My husband tried it on his car and it connected on the 2nd try. He was able to get some codes but none of the codes made any sense. We have researched the codes that have come up and still nothing….I’ve had it and have been trying it for almost 2 months now and still can’t get anything from it. It seems like a nice device and the other reviews are positive. Maybe I’m doing somwthing wrong but 2 out of 2 cars and can’t get it right just doesn’t make any sense.
