Great product!
I can’t believe this does DPF regens based on the size with user friendliness. Very easy to use with simple instructions to load on your iPhone or Android. The price is a great deal if needing a scan tool to view fault codes. I connected to 2 trucks and viewed all of the vehicle data. I would highly recommend this scan tool for OTR drivers and any road techs looking for a simple to use scanner for fault codes and forcing regens. Definitely worth the investment on purchasing 1, 2 or even more for fleet drivers who throw codes while traveling the highways. Diesel Laptops has some truly amazing products…..

Doesn’t work
Use to work to do a regen now you have to pay and it still won’t regen an x15 because the app won’t update in their system and show I paid, but they took the money out of my account for the last 3 months. I got the Ancel and it’s a way better product that you don’t have to pay to use and it does everything they say it does. My suggestion is run.

Great tool for the money
I am a business owner. I purchased this device to test it out. Here is what a trusted diesel tech told me about his experience with it:“I got the app on my iPhone and plugged it in. Connected in the app and away I went. I could read and clear codes and even look up how to fix my problem. I was very surprised to see a tool like this to have options to do regens and a few resets. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much for its cost but I was wrong! It does exactly what it says. Highly recommend purchasing one!”

Reliably did Regens on several brands of Class 8 trucks
I’m a Diesel Fleet Mechanic and bought this to play with it and see how it goes. I’ll do a thorough review on My Youtube channel: The Middle Class MechanicWhat I like:-It did start regens on the various trucks/engines I tried it on. (A26, DD13, D13, ISB 6.7, X15)I only ever ran one regen to completion and it never gave a prompt or info about the regen, the truck just stopped regeneration and thats how I knew it was completed an hour and change later. I message would be nice at least.-It’s super small and easy to store. Included OBD2 for Volvo/Mack is essential and a good touch. It’s so small, I’ve almost left it in trucks multiple times.-DTC codes pop up quick and easy and in most cases can be cleared as well.-Hooks right up to your cell phone. It is fairly easy to use and ties together nicely with the Diesel Laptops website for troubleshooting and other helpful things. (Some of those features also require a subscription.)What I don’t like:-The live data doesn’t seem to be very current. You almost need to back in and out of menus to see a change in temperatures or pressures. At one point I watched an exhaust temp not change at all for minutes, so thats not very useful.-The data also has things like “11 state” or numbers and values that don’t really explain what anything means.-Some “live data” like pedal position sensor wouldn’t function for me, or at least I think it won’t, maybe user error. I could bring up all relevant data for brake pedal position and when I press the pedal, no live data changes, as it should. Again, maybe I wasn’t looking in the right area? Seems off to me.-You have to pay $30/month after your free trail ends. The conclusion is that it’s an easy and affordable way to regen your truck without having to spend thousands on a laptop and dealership programs or even worse a tow truck if you’re a driver. I have little doubt that it wont regen anything it says it will. It’s fine for reading and clearing codes, and that seems to be free. If you’re a truck driver that just needs an emergency regen, I think this is a cost effective way to maybe avoid a tow truck or worse.

Works, but limited without paid features
Works, but limited without paid featuresThe device is compact and does a good job reading error codes — that part works fine. But many useful features, like regeneration or advanced diagnostics, require additional payments. This really changes the value of the product, pushing it into a different price category. In the end, I can only use it to check error codes, which is a bit disappointing. I wouldn’t fully recommend it unless you’re okay with paying extra for almost everything.

Cant do forces regen od D13
Tried yo do forced regen multiple times. Everything checked good for regen but still cant do it. Other than that usefull device but not worth the price without forced regen option. This review is for D13

Don’t buy
Only part that works okay is reading codes as long as the codes are not manufacture specific. Forced regens only work sometimes with subscription. Live data is inaccurate. Bi directional features are hit and miss. Overall I would not recommend anyone to buy this. For as good as Diesel Laptops are, they sure dropped the ball with this unit. I’m a HD diesel tech and this is my piece on this unit.

Paid for itself
Works great for the price, does everything I need it to do
