What I really like about this “used like new” Dewalt drywall screw gun is that it takes the relatively inexpensive and fairly readily available reduced tip phillips #2 bits which fit a drywall screw dead on perfect.The tip is held in by an internal spring ring that grabs the indents on the bit. The tip wont come out until you pluck it out with needle nose pliers.I received 1 screwgun with bit installed and manual, in a previously opened, slightly roughed up box.The drill took a firm grip and turn to adjust at first as it was stuck. Driving a screw took a firm stab to break it loose to drive a screw the first time.It works perfectly now. Many turns for small incremental adjustments so micro-adjustable.Just remember to use needle nose pliers to pull the bit. No opening the drill. Simply pull it out. It claims 5300 rpm. That seems impossible but it does spin fast.I really wanted the 20 volt version but Dewalt is very proud of that one.I dont mind fighting a cord, its no big deal as there are plenty of outlets. This claims 6 amps so keep that in mind if something big is running on the same circuit.The screw wont turn until you push hard enough to engage the clutch so, you can put your screw on point, true it up, pull the trigger and as soon as you push hard, the screw will drive..

I have 1000 square feet of drywall to finish in my basement. I have been using one of those drill attachments that are used for drywall for the first room. It was taking forever to get anywhere and the screws kept falling out.I didn’t want to spend a fortune, but didn’t want to spend the rest of my life screwing in drywall screws. One of the biggest problems was the ceiling and the amount of time it took to screw the screws in while holding up the drywall. We picked this up and probably tripled our speed hanging drywall..This screw gun is fast. The speed that it screws the drywall screws in is way faster than a typical drywall 18V cordelss drill. This also has a nice adjustable setting that allows me to set the screws as deep as I wish. It took a little getting used to, but once set correctly I was flying in no time. This is capable of setting the screws directly below the level of the paper. With the type that works with a standard screwdriver it seemed like it always set the screws too deep.Good price for a good product!

Husband loved this. Used it to finish the ceiling, as during covid you had to do everything yourself. It was much easier for him the screw the drywall on the ceiling with this tool rather than with a usual drill. He will use it for all the drywall that has yet to be installed, be it on a ceiling or a wall. Not that heavy when it’s for casual use, I guess if its your dayjob you might want something that’s lighter with no cord. Great purchase for us.
