Hello all!If you know me from other products then you know I have something good to tell you😁I recently purchased this cordless impact to help because I needed that extra torque.This impact does NOT disappoint,it’s bulkier than its predecessor and has very good quality.It has 4 different impact modes being low,medium,high,and precision mode.That one is handy it prevents you from overtightning or fastener run off to help prevent stripping bolts.It’s easy to use,it’s bigger offering more torque due to it’s bigger brushless motor,any 20v battery fits in it,and honestly I think it’s price makes it worth it you get so much power from this impact and is now my go to and will be yours as well👍🏻

Forward. Reverse. Don’t matter.With a DEWALT 8AH battery pack on power setting #2, this thing unscrews 22mm wheel nuts and 21mm caliper bracket bolts very easily, even the ones with orange Loctite.Power setting #3 it’s overkill most of the times to tighten anything and unscrews anything violently.Don’t get distracted or this thing it’s going to smack you and your wrist HARD. 😂The built-in LED lamp emits enough light to see everything in front of the wrench in the dark.The variable speed trigger it’s a must have on ANY impact wrench and here it works flawlessly.The pistol grip feels good on a bare, oily, dirty hand but much better and safer (stronger grip) with leather or rubber gloves on, as you should be equipped to begin with before start using this tool.**********************************************************************************************************************The Bad:It’s heavy. DEWALT claims 7lbs w/o battery.If you’re planning on using it for extended periods of time and if you slap a big 8AH battery pack like a did, it’s just going to get worse. Not a problem for me as I went in knowing that.Under prolonged heavy use you WILL physically destroy your batteries.The high power and the resulting vibrations are a double edged sword.I try to minimize the problem by grabbing the battery with one of my hands when using the wrench.DEWALT does not make the battery bumper, a.k.a BATTERYGUARD(TM) standard equipment, however, they’ll be happy to sell it to you as an extra.That tells you that they know there’s a problem but feel it’s not critical enough yet to hurt their sales and tarnish their name. Time will tell.Don’t trust the PRECISION WRENCH(TM) mode, use your own hand feel judgement and experience and you’ll be better off. I tried it, then went over it with a manual wrench to assert my suspicions and felt it was way off when it came to applying the correct amounts of torque on different fastener types and sizes.The “run off prevention on reverse” feature did work as advertised but I see it more as gimmick than a true helping feature. JMHO.*******************************************************************************************************************Final Thoughts:If you need a powerful and reliable cordless impact wrench, be it at home and even at the shop, you won’t be disappointed with this one.👍

Once you use this, you’ll never go back to smaller impacts.
This impact wrench is a BEAST. I have been able to get everything I’ve put it to loose with no issue except when the battery gets low. I haven’t used it that much….but enough that I love it lol. When I compare it to the “baby” impact I have from dewalt, I find it amazing how quickly this gets things loose and how much time I’ve wasted with the other one. It is pretty big, and hefty to get used to after you’ve been used to “regular” impacts, but still worth it.

Great, but has an issue, read description. Other than that still gets the job done!
Works great. However sometimes it vibrates like crazy at full throttle if you have any size extension on it. I don’t know if it’s because of balance or brand of extension. But ruled that out when I used a Pittsburgh Tools extension then a Matco extension, same thing happened. And I don’t mean it vibrates like its supposed to when taking bolts off, I mean, the whole entire gun and battery vibrates for no reason. Didn’t do this for the first couple weeks of work (dismantler at junkyard). It still works and is very effective in breaking the bolts (and sometimes literally haha), so it still gets the job done 👍.. vibrator is annoying though. But oh well, idk if it’s a DeWalt thing or not. My little 12v does it too. But my DeWalt power ratchet doesn’t do it at all, the power ratchet is flawless. Back to this gun, the value for money is good, and will save you $ compared to Snap on and other unnecessary priced brands.

Very powerful with the DEWALT 20V MAX XR Battery 6 Ah Lithium Ion battery. It drives 4” lag bolts into pilot holed studs right on in on the lowest setting, if not I’d been ratcheting four of them In. I don’t regret purchasing this with the battery choice. This thing is a monster. I snapped a 1/2″ breaker-bar trying to get out an axle bolt on a dodge journey which had severe rust from road salt, this thing slackened that bolt like it was not even breaking a sweat, AND with the small 20V batteries that come with the Dewalt drill kit. This Impact wrench is worth every penny!
