One of the deburring bit was missing in the set. Unfortunately it was the one I needed.

Affective at rounding off the tips of my brass screws to make insertion alignment easier
I used these to chamfer the flat ends of some brass screws so that the the newly curved tips will make it easier for me to screw them in. I add some brass threaded inserts into the frame of my hot tub, so that when I screw the side panels back onto the spa, I don’t have to tear up the wood. Since those panels can slide around a bit, lining the screws up to the threaded inserts behind the panel was very difficult. Now that these screws have more pointy ends, they are much easier to guide into their holes.If I had one gripe, it’s that I wish the button center of these was deeper, so that I can run the screw a bit further. I might try drilling that out at some point. My screws are likely smaller (they were #10 size) than most people using this though, so it’s not likely going to be an issue for you, and it still got the job done in any case.

Works on Wood
I ordered these after using a similar device at a chair making class. The description for this tool doesn’t say it is for wood but shows wood in one of the product photos. Another product photo states the blades are carbon steel blades while the description says Tungsten Carbide.This tool works ok for easing the edges on dry red oak chair parts. It produces a lot of dust instead of shavings, and has no side vents to let material spin out. On my initial attempt I had some chatter using the larger bit and going immediately to high speed, starting out slow seems to work better. The larger cutter was a bit too large for my spindle and left a bit of a strange lip, the smaller cutter cleaned this up nicely.The case for these is sturdy and I plan to use it to keep things together and protected but unfortunately it only accommodates the bits disassembled. This adds extra time and the use of an adjustable wrench to loosen the shaft after each use of the tool. I would have preferred the case to accommodate everything staying assembled.

Good Quality Deburring Bits
There is not any doubt about the quality of these deburring bits. The solid steel construction is very durable, and they are crafted well. I expect them to hold up for a very long time. The pair of bits cover a good range of application sizes. The blades are sharp and firmly attached to the metal body without any movement or wiggle. So, it gives me a good, clean cut and operation that does not cause jumping and excess vibration. This allows me to have good control over the cutting process and a better result. I have used other deburring bits that jump so much that I have difficulty getting a good cut and I end up having to waste material, or start all over. I am very happy with the performance of these deburring bits and the way they are built. I look forward to using them for many years to come. I would say that they are a good value.
