Good crimper for my needs on a boat
I’ve done about 20 crimps using this tool. On my boats stereo and bilge pumps using heat shrink marine butt joint crimps.All passed the pull test. Seems well made, clearly marked for different sizes. No problems at all, one squeeze does the job. It has an adjustment on it but I did not change it.

Definitely need it to connect butt ends
This tool is a life saver when clamping butt connector. You never have to worry about how much pressure you are putting on the connector. Every squeeze you get correct amount to securely connect the butt.

Heat Shrink Connectors Crimping Tool
Why did I not buy this tool sooner? This is a great value tool that does exactly what its supposed to and does it very well. Simply crimp the connectors and use a heat gun to seal everything tightly. Very easy to use and provides a better and more secure crimp compared to using other tools.

Solid build at an incredibly low price
If you’re a DIYer that does limited electrical work, the Plustool Crimper may be for you. I just needed a crimper to connect a new headlight wiring harness for my car and the Plustool came to the rescue at a very budget friendly price. I can’t say that it doesn’t have its flaws, but it got the job done. The build feels surprisingly solid for its price point and was a lot more tool than I was expecting. The ratcheting mechanism isn’t all that smooth. Although, I don’t do a lot of electrical work, I do my share of ethernet cable terminating and the Plustool is far from the smoothest ratcheting crimper I have used. With that being said, the crimpers I’m comparing it to is 3 to 4 times the price of the Plustool. If I were planning on doing a lot of wiring in the future, I would consider looking at a higher quality ratcheting crimper. For your typical DIYer, this crimper is a great choice. The Plustool Crimper is a solid tool that gets the job done at an incredibly budget friendly price. This one is staying in my toolbox.

I have ordered several different style crimpers and this one is without a doubt the best so far. At least so far. Only mild complaint is if you’re splicing a large number it gets tight to fit between wires.

One thing could make this tool better
This is a reliable tool I got for adding terminal connectors onto grounding wires for my solar system and for splicing pieces of cable together if I need to extend length. It won’t work with my 8 AWG cables, but I’ve got a hammer-style lug crimper for those. The only thing I’d like better about this tool is if it would somehow miraculously give me three hands; it’s hard to keep the cable and terminal connector piece together AND hold the tool to get it started crimping with only two hands. There’s a trick to ratcheting it down slightly onto the barrel of the connector to hold that part secure while you stick the stripped cable end into the barrel, but I haven’t quite mastered it yet. I find sitting this crimper down on a tabletop to get a crimp started works best, but it’s awkward.

Wire crimping tool for upgrading your electric game
All I can say is that I wish would’ve bought these years ago. The old type crimp pliers can’t even compare to the precise crimp quality that these things produce every time. The crimp quality is spot on every time, plus the grip & easy of use ratcheting action is very comfortable & functions with ease.This item is definitely a tool to get if you’re looking to upgrade from the old worn out cheapo crimper’s.
