Hand Held Engine Diagnostic
Was having some issues with my SUV, I took it to dealership and they wanted to do a $125 diagnostic. When I questioned as if a problem was isolated would they waive the fee if I had the repair done there. I was told know no that the cost of the diagnostic was set. I decided to not to let them do it. I looked around for a user friendly diagnostic tool and found this on Amazon. After I ran the test it gave me the problem, which was a bad battery. I had the battery replaced and problem solved. Saved me $$$.

Easy to use on my BMW
For 20 bucks (I got it on a sale), its a plug and play device. Read the trouble code causing the Check Engine Light on my e90 328i and I also discovered a couple of past codes.Also lets you look at real time info like the coolant temp.P codes as far as I can tell.

I’ve been wanting to get one of these for a long time! Every now and then when my car throws up a check engine light I have to drive somewhere to read the code but now that I have one of these I will know exactly what’s wrong with my car. It’s pretty easy to use but the setup was a little tricky at first. The instructions could have been a bit more clear but I figured it out and now its super easy.

Does everything that the $300 ones do!
This scanner works just as well as the ones that’ll cost you $200-$300. It actually gives you the codes that’ll tell you pretty much exactly where you need to go to fix the problem. The first time I used it was a 2004 Mercury Sable that had the CEL lit up. Plugged it in and it gave me the P codes for both the #1 bank and #2 bank cats operating below threshold. Owner hadn’t maintained the vehicle and the O2 sensors were all clogged with carbon. $90 for new O2 sensors was much cheaper than $600 to replace both cats!

Fácil de conectar y de usar. Lee bien los códigos, da una breve descripción de la falla y es efectivo para borrar los códigos. Grafica bien en tiempo real las variables que tú decidas y esto es muy fácil de hacer. No da realmente una descripción más amplia de la falla, pero en realidad siempre es más fácil y mejor buscar a través de Google y en Youtube esta información y las recomendaciones correspondientes.
