Replaced my CMCD700 Type1
I used my original drill a lot and somehow damaged the chuck gear head causing it to wobble. Probably over worked it where a heavier duty or higher quality drill would have survived. This is a nice drill when used correctly. Unfortunately, there a very few replacement parts (4 stars). This pack comes with a charger and a 12VDC 1.5ah battery. My original came with a 1.3ah battery which has lost some of it’s initial surge power (i.e. won’t start the drill at WOT). This set’s battery will start at WOT. The charger works great. I’ve since ordered 3ah batteries which really makes a big difference in initial start and running. I read that the 4 & 6aH batteries are available but the price jumps. If you’re a “once-in-a-while DIYer this is a very good drill set just may wish to upgrade the battery for longer work time.

The name speaks for itself craftsman. Before the big boy brand names became popular again craftsman offered people products that were great and not as expensive as the three or $400 drill just think about that the design is a nice looking design and the tool works like a craftsman always worked. It’s powerful and very easy to use. You can adjust the torque. It’s a keyless chuck and I did work with it for hours and the battery still was as powerful as when I started. Excellent tool excellent price still worth getting for your workshops

Good battery life and lots of torque
Cordless is the way to go. This drill has so much torque. Makes installs easier. It’s a but heavy for a woman, but you will get used to it. Buy more drill bnits separately. I use Black and Decker drill bits. The best thing I have bought for my new house.
