Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What materials can these electric scissors cut, and what is the maximum thickness?
A1: Thanks to the heavy-duty motor, these scissors can effortlessly slice through tough materials like double-wall corrugated cardboard, thick carpet, leather, plastic packaging, and delicate fabrics. They feature a true 7/16 inch cutting capacity, which allows them to cut through materials nearly twice as thick as the standard 1/4 inch capacity found on typical consumer models.
Q2: How long does the battery last on a single charge?
A2: The built-in high-density rechargeable battery provides an impressive 80 minutes of continuous runtime to easily handle high-volume days. This is double the industry standard of 40 minutes. You can also monitor your exact remaining battery percentage at any time on the crisp LED dashboard.
Q3: Why does this tool have 4 speed settings instead of the standard 3?
A3: Our 4-speed control gives you “micro-surgery” level precision that adapts exactly to your material. Because our upgraded motor delivers a massive 420 RPM—which is up to 82% faster than standard 230-250 RPM models —the extra gear ensures you have total control. Speed 1 protects delicate fabrics from fraying, while Speed 4 delivers the raw power needed to glide through 7/16 inch carpets without jamming.
Q4: Will the studio-white finish get stained easily from dirty cardboard or warehouse use?
A4: Not at all. The elegant studio-white aesthetic is designed with a stain-resistant, wipe-clean surface. Even after breaking down dusty Amazon boxes or working on heavy-duty DIY projects, a quick wipe will restore its pristine, minimalist look, making it a perfect tool to leave out on your desk or in your craft room.
Q5: Are these scissors a good choice for people with arthritis or weak hand strength?
A5: Yes, absolutely. Electric scissors are an excellent alternative to manual scissors, which are often slow, tiring, and can cause severe hand strain. Our ergonomic grip and motorized cutting action require virtually no physical squeezing force, drastically reducing hand and wrist fatigue. It takes the pain out of repetitive cutting tasks, making it ideal for seniors and avid crafters.
420 RPM Power & 7/16″ Heavy-Duty Capacity: Built for users who need more than a basic cardboard cutter, this cordless electric scissors and electric box cutter delivers up to 420 RPM with a 7/16″ cutting capacity for faster, cleaner cuts through cardboard boxes, corrugated board, carpet, fabric, leather and other tougher materials. It is made for heavier daily cutting than standard 1/4″ class cutters.
LED Display & 4-Speed Precision Control: The built-in LED display shows battery and speed status at a glance, while 4 adjustable speed settings help you match cutting power to different materials. From delicate fabric to heavy cardboard, this electric cardboard cutter delivers more controlled, more refined cutting for home projects, packaging work and small business use.
Safety Lock, Blade Guard & Easy Blade Change: Designed for safer everyday use, this rechargeable box cutter features a safety lock, dual-start operation and a protective blade guard to help reduce accidental activation. The easy blade change system keeps maintenance simple, and 2 blades are included for added value, longer use and less downtime.
USB-C Rechargeable with Up to 80 Min Runtime: Powered by a modern USB-C rechargeable battery, this cordless cardboard cutter delivers up to 80 minutes of runtime on a single charge. It is ideal for packing, moving, shipping room tasks, warehouse work, workshop cutting and repeated carton breakdown without constant recharging.
Comfortable, Lightweight & Built for Daily Tasks: Compact, balanced and easy to maneuver, this electric scissors box cutter helps reduce hand fatigue during repeated cutting jobs. The non-slip grip and built-in LED guide light improve comfort, visibility and cutting accuracy for cardboard boxes, carpet trimming, fabric projects, leather work, craft use and everyday professional tasks.

Nice to have for frequent box cutting
We receive a lot of packages at my house due to my husband’s job, and so there are sometimes dozens of boxes to break down each week. I was thinking about picking up one of these to make the work a little easier, and so far it’s helped him save a little time (plus honestly it’s just kinda fun to use).I will say right off the bat that these cannot cut very thick materials. Unlike what you may have seen on social media videos, electric scissors do not cut “like butter” or extremely quickly. But slow and steady works fine, and if you run them along the seams of a regular cardboard box, they work great. The safety lock on this, plus the safety shield around the blade, makes this a very safe tool – I appreciate that a lot. Also, the USB-C charging is nice – and the back of the cutter shows the battery life when it’s being charged (not sure about during usage). If you have a lot of carboard around, this is a worthwhile tool to have.

I love these things!
With the amount of boxes I get every day, these have been heaven sent. No more breaking up boxes, just to fill up my TWO XL recycling cans, I can now cut them up smaller and fit more in each can. These electric scissors seem to cut through the cardboard like butter. It even comes with an extra blade which is nice because I can’t imagine that the blades would stay sharp for a long time with cardboard. The only negative thing I have to say is that the battery life doesn’t seem that great on these. I tried cutting up a treadmill box and had to stop halfway through so that I could charge the batter. Either way, I will still continue using these as they make a really yucky chore kind of fun. It may take longer than just breaking down the boxes, but it’s worth it in the amount of room it saves in the the recycling cans. Highly recommend!

It cuts most things, except its own price
I mean… it’s fine, I suppose. It does what is advertised. But for this price right now ($49.99) you can get the exact same product, but a brand name version by Fanttik with much higher build quality. Other similarly capable generic versions are ~$20 or less. You can stop reading here, nothing about this product redeems that price discrepancy. But for those of you that want more to chew on:Functionality:This works. Fairly simple. I’ve been using this to open boxes since I’ve got it, and while the process to do so quickly is a bit weird (don’t cut the tape, cut the cardboard next to the tape and *then* either cut the tape ends or rip it open depending on paper/plastic). It works though, and I don’t have any major complaints about using it on thick surfaces. It doesn’t “self advance”, which I was annoyed about at first. And then I realized… You know, I’m kinda glad it doesn’t self-advance. It means you have to apply pressure proportional to the cutting force required to get through the material continuously, but it also means it won’t get away from you. The safety button on the side offers one layer of protection, but this is a spinning metal death contraption, more safety is better for sure. The display is maybe the jankiest looking part of this. They use an LED segment display that’s too bright, so you can see the internals lit up due to the reflected light internally, which makes it look cheaper and less professional. Other manufacturers that insist on using those bright displays have started to put them behind frosted plastic (for a kind of “disappearing” effect) or using proper LED- tinted plastic. The safety button feels weird, and the main trigger feels weirder. The safety is a small microswitched button on the side. It functions exactly as needed, but it’s super “clicky” if you’ve ever used any of the other kinds of devices “trigger safeties” tend to exist on… it feels decidedly wrong. a “soft” safety (ten+ ways to do that mechanically) would have felt better. Similarly the trigger is odd. It also has a “click” but it engages before then? I’m not sure what the internal mechanism is or what that “click” signifies, but it feels cheap as a result.Last, the visual design, construction quality, and the like get a solid meh out of 5. It’s not awful. But it just massively illustrates the gap between this and the brand-name product it’s priced the same as. The build is very “cheap injection molding” – clear seams (not too much sprue though), ugly tolerances, a kind of overall “cobbled together” aesthetic. I think this is what makes me most peeved about the list price. They are asking *designer item* prices for something that took the “how much can we cut the cost of this” exercise to the nth degree. Makes it all the more sour that they didn’t cut the cost of it for customers. So if you want to cut something, sure, I’d recommend this style of cordless electric scissors. If you want to cut costs and do the same. the search bar is your friend here.

Very handy
I picked up these electric scissors mostly to deal with all the cardboard from deliveries, and they’ve actually been really handy. They cut through thick boxes and even some old carpet scraps way easier than regular scissors, and the motor feels decent so far too. The safety lock is nice because I don’t worry about it turning on when it’s in a drawer, and the led display showing the battery is a small but useful touch. I also like that it charges with USB C and the blade swap is also very convenient. Overall it’s been a solid little tool that saves my hands when I have a lot of cutting to do.

Good for multiple materials
This cordless electric scissors is great. It can cut just about anything above a thin piece of paper where your normal scissors can’t do. The nice thing is that it does all the work for you because it is battery powered, with a rechargeable battery to make it easier. That way you have no chords in the way and you can take it with you anywhere you need. My main purpose is cutting cardboard and those hard plastic shells that they sell products in that you can’t open no matter what you do. There is an LED light to add to the convenience. I also like the comfort handle it offers.
