These Borsstyne cordless electric scissors are low-key one of the most useful tools I didn’t know I needed.First thing — they cut through cardboard like butter. If you deal with a lot of Amazon boxes (like I do), this makes breaking them down way faster and easier on your hands. No more struggling with box cutters or wearing out regular scissors.I’ve also used them on fabric and thicker materials, and they handled it surprisingly well. The motor has solid power without feeling out of control. It’s strong, but still easy to guide.The cordless design is a huge plus. Lightweight, comfortable grip, and not awkward to hold. Battery life has been good so far — I can get through multiple projects without constantly recharging.I also like that it comes with extra blade and a storage case. Makes it feel complete and not cheap.If I had to nitpick, it’s not a heavy-duty industrial tool — but for home use, crafts, DIY, breaking down boxes, carpet edges, etc., it’s more than enough.For the price and convenience, this is a 5-star buy for me. Simple, powerful, and saves time. 👍

cuts well, helpful for breaking down boxes
I’ve never had an electric cutter before so I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this little device. It came fully charged, and the charge seems to last for quite a few uses. The case it comes in is well made and handy, and it’s a good size to toss into a drawer or bag for easy storage or carrying.The instructions for this cutter are printed VERY small. I had to photograph them so I could expand the image to read them. Because of the metal guard on the cutter, you can’t use it to open packages but it does make it easy to protect your fingers. What I’ve been using this cutter for so far is to break down boxes once I’ve opened them but I imagine it might also be convenient for cutting paper for some of my collage and art journal projects.The cutter is lightweight and easy to use once you understand how it works. There is a button on the top and a trigger on the bottom and you squeeze both to start it, which helps avoid starting it accidentally. Once it’s going you can hold in only the trigger. It’s worked well for me so far and I like that it comes with a replacement blade. I’m not sure how easy it will be to find more blades once that one is used up but other than that it’s quite nice.

Very handy tool!
This is a battery-powered rotary cutter. It can be used on cardboard, leather, fabric, etc.. The kit comes with the tool, a USB charging cable, a spare blade, a screwdriver, instruction sheet and a zippered storage pouch.The tool is lightweight, fits the hand nicely and is easy to use. There are two switches on the handle, one large lever-type under the handle and a smaller one on top. Both have to be activated for the tool to work. Just squeeze the lower lever together, then press the button on top to start the cutter. Once pressed and the cutter starts, release the top button, but keep the lever switch engaged. The lower lever switch also turns on a LED light on the front, which does a great job of illuminating the work area. There are LED charge indicators on the side of the tool so you can check the state of charge of the battery.The tool is quiet to use, with only the motor making any noise. The tool is well-made and is of an ergonomic design. Metal is used where needed (cutting guide, blade, etc.) and the plastic materials are solid and have crisp features.I cut some cardboard with it and it works great. No more box-cutter knives for me! Then, I tried cutting a leather belt. The belt is about 1/8″ thick and the tool cut through that leather like butter! Amazing!Cutting capacity is shown as 6mm (a bit less than 1/4″). I tried cutting multiple layers of cardboard and the tool cut through great, as long as the total thickness was less than 1/4″.I think this tool is great! It cut through my samples effortlessly. I will certainly be using it when I break-down cardboard boxes. I am happy to have it for cutting any fabric, leather, cardboard, or similar materials.
