The All New Advanced Car OBD2 Scanner Diagnostic Tool
The Exctool ET331 is the all-new upgrade from basic OBD II code readers in all aspects. Not only can this full OBD2 mode OBD2 diagnostic tool read diagnostic fault codes and freeze frame data, it can also retrieve live engine parameters, O2 sensor test/ on-board monitor test results and do an EVAP test to better help you diagnose car issues. It‘s plug and play: plug into your vehicle’s 16-pin OBDII DLC and you are ready to go. It has a huge DTC library and will be a very useful and reliable auto accessory which offers comprehensive vehicle information for rapid, accurate diagnosis and repair.

Live Data
Retrieve real-time data or status from various sensors and components in the engine ECU, such as engine RPM, coolant temperature, oxygen sensor readings, massive air flow, fuel trim, fuel pressure and more.

Mode 05
It provides access to the engine control module oxygen sensor monitor test results. Not available on vehicles with Controller Area Network (CAN) system. Go to Mode 6 for these cars.

Mode 06
On-board monitor tests: allows access to the test results for on-board diagnostic monitoring tests of specific components that are both continuously monitored (e.g. misfire monitoring) and non-continuously monitored (e.g. catalyst system).

EVAP Test
It allows you to Initiate a leak test for the vehicle’s EVAP (Evaporative Emission Control System) to check the integrity and functionality of the system that captures and stores fuel vapors.

You can then fix simple problems yourself or take the car to a mechanic in confidence.
FULL OBD-II FUNCTIONS: with support for full 10 OBDII modes, you can get more diagnostic data to help you identify the problems: get freeze frame data and real-time sensor data (e.g. engine coolant temperature, short/long fuel trim, fuel pressure, Intake air temperature, Mass air flow rate); perform an EVAP test; retrieve O2 sensor & on-board monitor test results.
UNIVERAL VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY: Compatible with all-brand vehicles that are OBD2 / EOBD compliant (cars and light trucks model year since year 1996 in the US, 1998 in Canada, 2001 gas & 2004 diesel in UK & EU, etc.). Cost savings!
The scanner did exactly what it was supposed to do at a reasonable cost. I’m pleased with it. The savings over paying a shop to tell me a problem and I doing the repair myself.

Bad product
I’ve used this thing three times on my Honda Accord when the engine check light is on and I try and read codes. It shows no codes even though the engine check light is on and it is clicked off and froze where it wouldn’t change screens I would not buy this scanner

Not decided if it will fit in my 2003 BMW 5 series. A big lack of instructions as to how to use it. If it fits my car I don’t know. Will give it a try. Previous ones have been a small chip that plugs into my odb port and works over my phoneWhen I’ve worked out how to plug it in I’ll change this review.

Used so far on a Smart Car, and found to be very effective. Fairly easy to update for new cars. I thought it was good value. But remember, its designed for basic diagnostics.
