These are heavy duty, fit on the grinder well and appear quite robust, however many of the sharp tips on the heads have bent over after only using them for one project making a birch mug. Birch is not even that hard of a wood! They also clogged very easily and I had to wire brush and use the wire wheel on a bench grinder to unclog them frequently. It was a pain. I’m still giving four stars because they did get the job done and I have no other experience to compare them to as these are my first attachments of this kind. I don’t think they will be useable for the long term and will only get a few projects out of them, but I guess you get what you pay for. If you only have one or two projects to do, go for it because you do get three heads and that’s a good value for the cost.

Excellent quality product!
These are an excellent solution for making wood look like hammered, or wrought, iron. The varying size sphere burrs help create a more natural ‘peened’ appearance on the wood. An application of a satin oil-rubbed bronze, copper or black finish provides a convincing wrought metal look.

Worked great on hardwood
I used this Burr Set on a very hard, dense, African Acacia wood burl. Had no issues removing wood or getting the wood jammed in the tool. I recommend a variable speed angle grinder for more control. I ran mine at 2000 RPM and had very little bounce.

Unique and useful
These angle grinder attachments solve a niche problem. They won’t be useful to everyone, bit if you’re a person who has to sometimes shape wood pieces, you’re going to want to have these in your arsenal. The set comes with three sizes, and if you ever want to clear out a concave shape in a wood pice, whether it’s for sculpting or just shaping a piece of wood, these are great. They are solid and durable and fit any standard angle grinder. The cut on these is pretty aggressive, and you’ll definitely need to sand your surfaces smooth when you’re done, but these little grinding globes perform a function that is really unique and useful. They are very simple to use. The most portable trick is to not get in a big hurry. If you push too hard the angle grinder will jump and vibrate, but if you go east, they will carve nice, smooth holes in your wood.

The set comes with three different sized rotary burr cutters. They are extremely easy to equip to the angle grinder. They cut very well, quickly hogging out wood. The surfaces were smooth enough to get a nice finish starting with 80 grit sandpaper I will say, be very careful when using them. If you use the right side of the ball, it pulls the tool in a safe way (away from you). But if you catch a lip or touch down on the top, bottom, or left sides of the balls, it will snatched the tool very quickly toward your body. This is a great set to hallow out curved surfaces, but be mindful of your ppe and how you make contact with the cutting edges.
