worked great to reflash ECM on 03 Range Rover (BMW motor)
I bought a Range Rover with only 90k miles for 800$ but they couldnt get it started. It turns out the BMW immobilizer on that model will allow crank but it prevents spark AND fuel from working. The dealer wanted 1200$ to reflash and I called a “mobile locksmith” who wanted to tow it to his shop and charge 1000$ to fix it. I used a guide from a BMW tuners forum and with this cable I was able to locate the code using a Hex editor and 00 it out, essentially deleting the immobilization process. It started right up after the reflash. So for a 30$ cable I was able to do it myself lol.

Will not work with Windows 10, but it does say it works with Windows NT, sorry boys, nobody runs NT. If you search and follow some of the BMW forums you might find a backdoor method to get the driver loaded for Windows 10 but have to do some IT magic to turn off a bunch of stuff as your computer is booting up in order for it to work…..useless.

Almost Flawless Performance for 2001 330i E46
This specific cable was recommended to me on the e46fanatics forum by a reputable member. Many users there were recommended this cable as well. There are many different makers of this cable and I didn’t want to take a gamble so I went with this one.Used cable with INPA and WinKFP. Was able to update both the DME and EGS modules.There were some slight hiccups such as a dropped connection. All I did was take the plug out and plug it back in and the process would resume. For this I deduct one star.For older BMWs such as the e46 and e39, leave the button depressed. Do not press it in. That is only for newer models.

Standard OBDII shenanigans wasn’t cutting it on my old E46. Finally got to troubleshoot, test, and fix obscure issues instead of relying on black magic, 12oz sacrifices, and prayers. Used for both Ediabas and INPA, this cable was solid and gave me zero problems. I now have not one money light on.Don’t worry, I whispered that last one.

Was compatible with both cars, and using a software I got online (not the disk) I was able to remove an airbag light that came from me disconnecting an airbag during a repair. Worked great!

worth every dollar – it really works
i tried about 3 cables before almost giving up i thought for the hell of it i’d try this last one – plugged it in to my computer didnt get the drivers right away – ran the driver executable file on the pc then checked device manager and there it was sitting on port 3 voila – changed to ort 1 set latency to 1 and ran inpa and bingo got the first black dot then plugged it in to my carand bam got both black dots . turned the daytime running lights off through ncsexpert/dummy in ten mins!

I kept on having issues with E90s with this cable. I had bought one with a switch because I know E90s require pins 7 and 8 to be disconnected. Turns out the switch never worked. Measured continuity and 7 and 8 always had it.

Worked great for flashing a Tune on a E92 M3.Didn’t have to install drivers on a windows 10 laptop.I just set the COM port to 1 and set the communication to 1ms in the device manager. I always let the button on “depressed”No other steps required. Also works great with INPA.
