I have a lot of Milwaukee tools, and of course, they are great quality. But I wanted a less expensive cordless drill / screwdriver to keep on board our motor home. A friend has one of these Avid drills which I had to borrow while camping. I was impressed by its quality, so I ordered one, but the next model up with the metal chuck, and the entire kit with charger, etc. Had it a couple of months now, and have used it multiple times. Haven’t had to charge the battery since gave it its first charge. Very impressed with the overall feel, seems like it will last a long time.EDIT 12/25: I liked the two Avid drills I had already bought, and wanted another just to keep in my office for the occasional small job. I clicked the “Buy it again” link, but got a completely different drill. See the photo…the one on the left was the first one, on the right is the current one. Seems OK, but definitely not what I was expecting.

Overall this is a great little drill for an affordable price. The drill feels durable in hand and appears to be made of quality plastic. I have been using the drill right out of the package and have not had to charge it yet so the battery life appears to be good. As for performance, it has many settings for various tasks and is easily adjustable. I’d say it performs well. It’s very easy to use. The charger works good and the battery fits snug.

I like it seems to work fine. Although when on second speed the moment you let go of the trigger it seem to stop immediately there’s no way to ignore it. So I usually use it on speed one. All in all not bad
