Nice tool
I bought this tool to see how well it works on newer Sprinter VS30 (907) vans. It is able to get into all of the control units and has Live data and able to reset faults. Has a few service functions available. I do wish it had bidirectional communication – able to control , command actuators, motors, this would make it a great tool. For the price it good tool. I also have a Autel MS906 pro that does a whole lot more but I also pay for a yearly subscription for the other functions that I use

This unit is is great. This pro version pulls up most of the pids you want when looking at live data so you don’t have to select them all, very time saving. The reset functions are great and work. If you want a more advanced unit with free lifetime updates this is what you want..

I have been using this scanner for a while and I am quite impressed with it. I like the fact that it has a Bluetooth OBDII connector on it allowing you to be inside or outside of the car without feeling the constraint of a cord. Makes it so much nicer also not having a cord during live recordings while driving the car. Very easy to use the product it does not have a complicated menu and if you have used any other scanners from Autel then you should be used to the menu. You are able to read and erase codes, you have a lot of options to diagnose issues with the car. I love the fact that you get free update for life. I wish my other Autel scanner would have this option, instead I have to fork out 150 or so a year for upgrades. My other scanner does not have the Bluetooth option but does let me view you tube videos related to the issues found, however it does not have speakers built into it. Therefore this small scanner is much better then my other Autel scanner. I wish they would sell a protective case for it. In the end it I would like to say it is a great product that can save you thousands of dollars if you can make the repairs yourself, great functions, great build, easy to use. Just a great scanner all around!

Slight learning curve, but definitely worth learning.
I wasn’t too sure how well this would work, given my past experiences with all-in-one scanners. Many of the ones I’ve used over the years won’t tell you manufacturer-specific codes, and manufacturer-specific readers aren’t all that useful if you switch brands (and in some cases, don’t maintain a subscription for updates if you buy a new car from the same manufacturer).So, Autel had a lot of doubts to overcome, and for the most part, left me pretty impressed. I have an Acura that has been throwing codes for over a year. I know exactly why (one of the camera modules is broken), so I knew I’d be able to give this a full test as soon as it arrived.Out of the box, there was a slight disappointment almost immediately. While Autel includes an AC adapter (even though this uses a common USB-C input), they do not include any sort of case. And not shockingly for the price, the chassis of the reader isn’t very rugged. You definitely want to be cautious about leaving it in a toolbox, or where it could be dropped easily.But, that seemed minor if the scanner really did get you the OEM-specific info. So, I registered the scanner, and noticed that it had just over 80 updates available when I connected it to my wifi network. Kind of annoyingly, hitting “update all” didn’t work. The underlying OS looks like Android to me, so I decided to manually update the OS, then update the app after the OS was updated and the scanner restarted, and then finally, let it do an “update all” on all of the manufacturer databases. Inconvenient? Yeah. But a good sign, for sure.When I finally got it into my car, I liked that it identified the make, model, and VIN. I’ve used Honda-specific scanners that couldn’t do that. Pretty cool. But what I was a bit less impressed with was that it wasn’t showing an obvious fault, even though my dash display was. I drilled down through the different tests, and was eventually able to find the code that the car was throwing. Lo and behold, the Autel scanner told me that I had a camera module failure. Not just the code, but a quick description of what was wrong.So, kind of a mixed bag. On one hand, it was exceptional when it came to telling me what was wrong with my car. On the other, I had to know where to look for it. I had to know which subsystem it was, so I could get to where the code was being thrown. Maybe it’s more intuitive if you have a broader “check engine” light. Nonetheless, I think if you’re the sort of person who wants a reader like this, you probably have a good sense of where your codes are coming from, so it isn’t a big deal.A really cool thing I discovered while playing with the scanner was just how detailed the live data was. My car has SH-AWD, so I drove it around an empty parking lot for safety, and was really impressed that it was telling me speed readings from each wheel, voltage readings from different solenoids in real time, and more. If you REALLY know what you’re looking for in terms of specs, you could very easily use this for predictive maintenance.Admittedly, it isn’t the easiest scanner I’ve ever used. There’s definitely a learning curve, and the UI could certainly be improved upon. But for the flexibility and cost, I can’t say I’ve seen another scanner at this price that works this well. I just wish Autel would sell a case for it.
